Description:
SML: wolf
Appearance: At first, Ribald would appear a normal wolf. That is, until he turns around; the right side of his face, a sharply contrasting white against the rest of his body, is horribly disfigured into a permanent, vicious snarl. The rest of Ribald is no less intimidating. Orange eyes stare hatefully from behind a mask of rage. Mud-brown fur sticks is clumps and spikes away from a well-muscled frame. Compact, and yet clearly fearsomely powerful, paws end in wickedly curved, retractable ivory claws. All in all, he makes a formidable opponent. Oh, and that would be another thing about Ribald. He's huge. About the size of a tiger, actually. The strange thing is, he has retained her proportions of a wolf, so that his gangly lupine legs seem just a little too spindly, just a little too frail, to support his bulk. But this is not true. Ribald does just fine. In fact, the only part of him that isn't normally proportionate to a wolf is his tail, which doesn't actually seem to be present.
It quickly becomes apparent that Ribald is not a pure wolf (albeit an enormous one). Instead, he appears to have been mixed with some anonymous ungulate; a white rump patch stands in stark contrast against his earthy body, and his form seems oddly geometric, his joints oddly knobby. These are, of course, the traits of deer, and they give Ribald considerable speed, aswell as an advance warning to allies-- a flared rump patch is more useful than one would think.

Mutations: Retractable claws, the speed and fleet-footedness of a deer, enormous size, rump patch
Defects: No tail means Ribald's balance is impaired when walking a narrow bridge, etc.; slender legs are more fragile; size is a disadvantage when trying to be stealthy, or attempting to travel in small spaces; face is horribly disfigured.
