Kazuki has the misfortune (or maybe fortune) of getting on the scene at the same time as Daichi Hashimoto. Daichi is doing fine for a young lion with a forced push, but Kazuki is solidly ahead of him. I know most of y'all are down on the Big Japan crew, but as with Okabayashi, K. Hashimoto has a lot more going for him than Sekimoto's all-workrate-all-the-time mindset.

Today I watched him tag with Sekimoto against Kohei Sato and Daichi Hashimoto (Zero1 April 24th), and Kazuki had a lot going for him. He was effective as both whipping boy (early/mid match) and dick outsider. Lots of charisma, good selling, solid moveset with a minimum of gaga. He's been solid throughout the year.

Not top-of-the-ballot material globally, but he might be top 10 for Japan, especially with the apparent demise of all things Battlarts.

Finally got around to watching the Zero1 tag last night and I ended up enjoying it way more than I thought I would. I agree, K. Hash does smug dickishness really well. I also really liked him in that AJPW vs. BJW 6-man tag earlier in the year. I don't think I've ever seen this kid deliver a flat performance.
