I don't think Morishima has been much of an 'internet favorite' for a while. Good list otherwise. I might bring up Nagata, KENTA and/or Shiozaki if they have more good showings. But I'm just as likely to bring up the Big Japan Sasakis.

Jericho - Sloppy, stale, obvious spot calling

KENTA - Mostly unwatchable in the junior division, occasionally good when trying to chop down heavyweights

Angle - Watched his match against Jeff Hardy and it was hilarious. Sloppy, mind-numbingly bad finishing run, he tries to do a moonsault but ends up landing on his head, random restholds

Richards - Grunting, corny junior, can't sell, can't tell a story inside the ring - the worst possible Benoit clone

Ibushi - Repetitive flips guy

Tanahashi - Typical modern day Japanese worker, except with a weak moveset. Nerds marking out over his back flip lariat bump in the G1 final is amusing

Shiozaki - Killing the NOAH main event scene

Sugiura - ^

Mistico - Killing the CMLL main event scene

Tyler Black - No comment, I avoid his work

Morishima - What has he done this year?

Devitt - New Japan fanboys ridiculing bland US indy spot workers and then praising this guy is perplexing

Nagata - From what I've seen, he hasn't been too goofy this year, seems like a top 200 guy

Dragon Gate roster - I highly doubt passionate DG fans watch the promotion for the wrestling. I mean, how can you? Without selling, story, innovation etc, wrestling is just a collection of spots and that gets boring really quickly

Morishima has been decent in a few tags and was good in one of the Kawada matches and terrible in the other. I heard rumor that he looked good in AAA but I am highly skeptical of that.

I don't see how Mistico is killing the CMLL main event scene? If anything, The Volador/Mistico feud has helped it. The Independents/Peste Negra feud is really boring and I don't think anyone cares about Olimpico, Psicosis and Rey Bucanero.

Richards might make my #100 spot. I get that other people don't enjoy inadvertent comedy wrestling but I've been watching some of his matches and I'm honestly entertained when he sells by acting like he has to take a shit, stops to do a handspring elbow or something, and then goes back to acting like he has to take a shit.

Has Samoa Joe been in anything good this year?

Joe hasn't done anything of note since 2005.

I actually liked his match with Misawa. But I don't even know if he counts as an Internet favorite; was just wondering if he'd had a good match with Hardy or something. The last TNA I saw was the live one on a Monday, where Homicide was supposed to crawl out of a cage upside down but got stuck.

When will NOAH stop forcing Sugiura to go 25+ all the time. The guy doesn't have a deep enough moveset or good matwork for it. I mean, the Takayama match last year went less than 10 and he managed to run through 90% of his stuff.

SUWAMA
Minoru Suzuki

I doubt either of them will though. This should be renamed to wrestlers we hate without their own thread.

Those two aren't 'internet favorites' other than with the pitiable All Japan fanboys.

All Japan is a pretty wretched promotion but it's hardly as if they have nothing going on. Funaki vs. Viscera, just to pick a random match, would be getting a ton of love if it had happened on Superstars, and any promotion paying Joe Malenko to wrestle is just fine by me.

I don't think we have a thread for Hama or Akebono.

I still like Suzuki. Haven't seen much All Japan though.

Will Roderick Strong make anyone's list? I watched KENTA/Aoki vs Strong/Edwards, 10/30 and Strong was unbearable.

I usually like Strong but it seems like he's gotten worse as he's been pushed. He did some of the most retarded no selling ever in the match where he won the title off Black, and last night at the TV tapings even his striking looked bad and he fell out of a backslide and covered for it by putting his legs around Cabana's head. Martini is a shitty, shitty manager too.

Trent Barreta's apparently an internet favorite. I've seen a few of his matches and would say he's a third rate Evan Bourne. Do I need to see more of his work? Am I underrating him?

Trent will be on my list and pretty high. The Dudebusters match with the Usos on FCW tv a couple months ago was great. Plus he had a pretty good match with Richie steamboat. He wrestles Jerry Lawler tomorrow night at a house show. Hopefully it makes tape.

I think he is decent but I don't even think he's a top forty WWE guy this year.

I watched one of the Hawkins matches and he had some nice spots and took a pretty cool bump but seemed to be bleh otherwise.

I personally have been enjoying the Trent Barretta Superstars run. Bumps real well, regularly incorporates a crazy Jerry bump that actually makes sense within his matches (since he has a running high knee to the corner that he usually hits), cool somersault senton, good selling. I'd like to see him against more people than Curt Hawkins, but I think Barretta is really improving.
