Wonderful carry of Nagai, a good match with Kopylov, and even a high-end DEMONSTRATION~ should be enough to get Han in top 100 contention. RINGS wasn't yet at its peak but Han gives us just a taste of what's in store.

Han's probably top 20 for 1992-1998, unless the voter hasn't seen him or has an issue with the style.

He's currently my #1. He's able to get very good matches out of a variety of opponents, including stiffs. Aside from being extremely slick on the mat, he knows exactly how to build fights and tell a story in the ring. Flawless performer.

Is that match online? I've only seen their '92 encounter.

Are you talking about the 3/5/93 Han vs Kopylov match? If so, I uploaded it last year on my dailymotion page:

Mike, if you need me to megaupload it, I could do that tomorrow. I gotta look for the disc first though.

I'll admit that I was pretty ignorant of his work during this era. Up until this project I had only seen a a few of the heavily pimped 1996 RINGS matches so all of the stuff Mike uploaded was new to me. Before I watched any of this I had assumed that early Han had slick offense but didn't necessarily get the worked end of it due to a lack of exposure to pro wrestling and that the good selling and structure that I saw in 1996 came later. He certainly proved me wrong. He carries some weak opponents and some of his matches featured some of the most memorable selling I had seen all year. Easily the top shoot style worker.
