Nominate and discuss good/great Vader matches and then, in the not too distant future, we'll each send in a top 20 ballot. This will probably lead to a fun mini-countdown.

Yeah, you can definitely count me in on this one. Vader was my favorite wrestler when I was ten and I love reliving my childhood through smark tinted glasses.

This is a really cool idea for a project, Vader's such an awesome performer to watch and I never get tired of watching his matches over and over again. I'll try to upload the few CWA and UWFi matches I have of him soon.

Awesome! Looks like my hunger for Vader led to something important.

VADER TIME MWAHAHAHAHHA!

Yeah, Vader doesn't require you to watch a huge amount before you find something really fun. Should be much easier than doing a top 50 of 2008 or whatever.

With free wrestling viewing time, I think I'll opt to do this instead of trying to catch up on the 2009 individual wrestler stuff.

Im sorry I've slowed down on nominations. Im trying to rewatch everything I nominate. Which stopped me from nominating Vader/Nikita. But have not had the time recently.

I'll vote in this. Need to grab or rewatch a few things first (vs Sting Starrcade, vs Yamazaki UWFi, vs Kobashi 4/99 and the CWA stuff).

Guys we need to make sure each match we nominate is online. Otherwise they are not going to get very far.

Ok, then. I guess I'll just put my list on ice for a while.

I missed class today, stayed home sick and watched Ringside with Vader. I'd recommend everybody that's participating in this project seeing it if possible. A friend of mine trolls tape forums, and occasionally, when he finds someone running $1 bulk shills, he'll give me a head's up and I'll score a few random discs. I got this out of curiosity. It's basically Vader, a sleazy host, and a monitor (with the screen facing them--not us) and they watch about a dozen Vader matches and talk throughout it. I was worried it was just going to be random quips about what was transpiring onscreen, but I was wrong, its essentially a shoot interview with the matches being used as a jumping-off point on different companies, workers, eras, etc.

Tons of great stories, he puts over guys like Takada, Sting, Foley, and Inoki, but takes a crap on Hashimoto (sorry, Phil!) and calls Shawn Michaels out for whining about Leon working strong style. He blames his stiffness on being programmed with Hansen, Brody, and Blackwell as his first three guys he worked with and learned it from them. This was a fun 90-minutes and worthwhile for any Vader fans.
