KINGDOM certainly wasn't around long, but most every show has a match I'm interested in because it's got almost all my favorites from UWFi. I've seen the famous Saku vs Kanehara bout, but what else is worth going out of the way for?

I'd have to rewatch a bunch of matches before I recommend anything. By the way, Lynch released a KINGDOM comp two or three years ago.

Nothing is really great from KINGDOM. Sano vs. Sakuraba is pretty good, the Sakuraba/Kanehara matches are brutally stiff, but really you might as well go with early PRIDE Sakuraba stuff if you want to see him doing legit "UWF" fighting

-I'm not big on Saku actually.

-Given Tabe's pricing, if I get KINGDOM it'll be whole shows. Gotta love Tabe.

-Given the lack of discussion surrounding the promotion I wouldn't be surprised if it's lackluster, but I have a feeling there has to be SOMETHING worth my hosting from them.

Hey Ditch do you have the UWFI show main evented by Fujiwara v. Takada, I didn't even no it existed until it showed up on XWT but disappeared before I could finish DLing it.

I was in the same position of being confused/excited by that torrent only to see it die.

Via. Tabe's site:
"Shades of 9/26/91 vs Backlund: Takada KO's Fujiwara legit with a reverse kick to the gut, ending the match early to his own obvious disappointment"

It went 9:46, so it's not QUITE the Backlund match, but still.

I need to get it for the Fujiwara project. How much does Tabe charge?

From Lorefice's tapelist --

RINGS on WOWOW 11/24/96 MEGA BATTLE TOURNAMENT 1996 Nikaisen taped 11/22/96 Osaka Jo Hall

Special Match

Akira Maeda vs. Yoshiaki Fujiwara. Traditional UWF style bout. At one time, this might have looked good, but the style had evolved to the point that this slow matwork was no longer viable. This should have had great heat because Maeda was still very much over, and these guys hadn't been in the ring with each other in a long time because they both formed their own companies when UWF split up. Unfortunately, it was a dull match with no heat. *1/4

You should host the Kitahara v. Nakano match from this show, two fat guys opening up hardways cuts on each others faces with punches and kicks

I liked it on Nakano's end but Kitahara just... isn't good. I'll give it another shot though.

Fun fact: the tag is IIRC the only time we ever get Takayama vs Takayama (Gedo's real name)

What is your problem with Kitihara? He is a fat dude who will kick someone hard in the mouth, and get headbutted over the eye until he looks like he is crying blood.

Kitihara's execution isn't always there (for instance some embarassingly weak elbows), and he had a really lame suplex no-sell.

Lynch May 26, 2001 update has a Kingdom show (shoot-style section) from 2000 with a Fujiwara match. I can't tell if it's a work or a shoot or what.

vs. Hiroyoshi Kotsubo from Project UWF. I believe this is a worked show, but haven't seen it.
