Title: South Park

The season opener sucked, but man I wish I could shake the image of indiana jones getting raped. I don't watch hentai or any form of japanime like some folks here do, so seeing a cartoon dude getting raped is all too new and weird for me.

Must be nice to have a tv show to grind axes with movies you didn't like. But im betting tonights episode is great. They tend to always follow up stuff like that with something great.

I got the feeling they were also making fun of themselves in that episode too.

This episode is pretty damn funny already.

Best part was the subtle jab at the goth kids.

And that episode was awesome.

That two-part episode was turrible[/CharlesBarkley].

The Guineasaurus Rex did make me laugh, though.

It seems like more and more often, they've fallen into a rut where they have about three distinct jokes in every episode and then just run them into the ground with endless repetition. Okay, it was funny the first time Randy said how startled he was, but by the sixth or seventh iteration the honeymoon was so over.

At least it wasn't as insanely endless as the "buddy, guy, friend" thing from last season. That one is fighting it out with the recent "Surfing Bird" torture on Family Guy for most annoying running joke of all time.

There's still some really funny stuff here and there, like Wendy kicking Cartman's ass or Craig's meta-commentary on the boys' adventures, but it's been a little while since they've put out a really classic episode which just nailed it from start to finish.

^ Nailed it. Though I wasn't amused with the buddy, guy, friend deal the first time I find myself doing it to my friends quite a bit. Not the best start to this season, hopefully they close out strong though. That's what I hate about South Park, you get like 8 episodes and bam no new episode for 5 more months.

You guys are crazy, the two parter was so much better than anything else this season. Just for Craig.

SurfnBird was fucking brillant. The only thing wrong with it wasit did not go longer.

Loved this episode. Randy Marsh is by far my favorite character of the show.

El Guapito Bandito - November 6, 2008 03:33 AM (GMT)
if you had asked me prior to this season (full season), i would vehemently have said butters was the best character. but after Randy's run this season, they're neck and neck.

I wonder how the hell they did this episode so fast. I mean, most of it was dependent on Obama being elected. Maybe they could've hedged their bets and had two different versions mostly ready to go, but they still managed to stick in last-second stuff like the quotes from McCain's concession speech.

Hustle - November 6, 2008 06:33 AM (GMT)
That episode was just.. strange.

I hear people are already complaining over the joke they made about Obama's grandmother faking her own death.

They did the same thing with Elian Gonzalez, but they at least had a few days. The episodes don't take long to make, it takes about 45minutes it takes way longer to come up with them.

I have no idea why, but tonight's episode was one of the funnier episodes of South Park that I remember seeing in a long time.

Jingus - November 13, 2008 09:58 AM (GMT)
Same here. And I've never even watched any of those High School Musical pieces o' shite, but still laughed like a hyena at this. Completely lost it when Kyle whipped his hat off at the end.

This is cool? I'm gonna go home and kill myself.

This weeks episode had me rolling. The random songs and new kids father had me on the floor.

Hustle - November 17, 2008 11:05 AM (GMT)
Ha. Yeah, Cartman's "Goodbye, friends" when he was going home to kill himself was gold.

The new kid's father singing along as he slapped his wife for disrespecting him was probably the best part of the episode.

CoLd - November 18, 2008 11:52 AM (GMT)
Nah...when he snuck up on the BCW guy and 'pssstt' him then slapped him good lol

They are airing a wrestling episode this Wednesday, and I thought it was amusing that Token was wearing a CM Punk t-shirt:

I love the fact Cartman has a Get the F Out shirt.
