I think it was 1999 but it could have been later. I remember lurking on DVDVR forever back in the green background days.

About 2002, but technically AOL had it's own little forum for WWF that I posted on so actually 1998.

I started on rasslin forums about 2 years ago -- I am a late bloomer. If you count up all the time I have spent on wrestling forums since 2007, though, you could probably say I have made up for it. . . I have been around the interwebz, though, since the late 90's. I used to post on AOL boards and newgroups about Star Trek, comics, etc.

On *Prodigy in the mid 90s, couldn't give an exact year as I was like 12-14 at the time.

Lurking at one place or another since '95, didn't actually start saying anything until '04.

Prodigy. Was that one like Compuserve? I know they became a dialup provider later, but I seem to recall Prodigy having these commercials in the very early 90's about how one could do homework and pay bills "on line". Wait, I just found a commercial:

Back when I was in college, I got my first true email address in 1995 (I was using BBS's as early as 1989). I had a friend whose compuserve email was something like 12345678978964862@compuserve.net -- ridiculous.

In 1998 when I was 14, it was just my mom and I and we didn't have a home computer, so I used the ones in the school library. I got WebTV for x-mas in 1999 and got my first computer in 2002.

Winter of 07 maybe, I know it was during my fall/winter wait for snow vacation. It was hardly a momentous occasion that I remember the date.

In lurking, I realized I had much to learn.

I have been lurking since 2005 and only started joining forums to post a little over a year ago.

Do you guys who lurked for years have IRL friends with whom you can discuss wrestling? I've never had any fellow fans in my circle of friends, so I was quick to participate on the forums when I discovered them in late 2007 even though it meant my saying some dumb things.

I was so excited to find people to talk with about this thing that I couldn't keep quiet.

I had a few wrestling buddies in high school who I sort of drifted away from. Now I mainly talk about it on the internet. I've begun seeing those old friends again recently and when wrestling is brought up I've found that we watch completely different things.

About 2002 I believe, I'm sure I'd cringe to see what I was writing about then. I happened upon the UKFF wrestling board, and I've been Big Rob ever since.

In 95 during my senior year our school built an "INTERNET LAB" which consisted of 3 computers hooked up to dial up modems. I was hooked. I mostly lurked around till like 97 or so when wrestlingsucks started up and, well, it's been a big bag o' dicks since then.

2004 I joined SC and SSS.

Before that I just lurked at gamefaqs and a board I was on to download matches.

Most of my friends growing up were wrestling fans. The internet let me be a little ahead of the curve, and I ended turning most of them into smarks by repeating the things I heard online. Hindsight being 20/20, I kinda regret that.

1996, AOL's ANTagonist video game forums. I was 10 or 11 at the time.

First outside-AOL venture was alt.tv.simpsons in 1998 or so. Started on DVDVR in 1999. I was unfamiliar w/etiquette and posted my own 'workrate report' that was promptly deleted.

If you really wanted to embarrass the shit out of me you could find any of those above-mentioned posts...or, worse, my two submissions to the RANT CREW.
