Bantamweight Championship - Brian Bowles vs Dominick Cruz
Bantamweight - Miguel Angel Torres vs Joseph Benavidez
Featherweight - Deividas Taurosevičius vs. LC Davis
Lightweight - Bart Palaszewski vs Karen Darabedyan
Featherweight - Jens Pulver vs Javier Vazquez
This is a pretty stacked card, and the main event has so much potential to deliver a great fight. Bowles is a guy that really doesn't have one area that stands out, but he's really been doing an excellent job dealing with different styles in his short career. He was shockingly impressive in how he was able to take apart and finish off Will Ribeiro, who was one of the most promising FW's in the world before his sad carry ending injury. Cruz really improved so much since losing to Faber a few years back but I really doubt Cruz could find a way to finish off Bowles. I guess it's possible that maybe he could outwork Bowles for 3 close rounds and use his range for his strikes to set up takedowns, but I doubt that.
I think Miguel Angel Torres vs Joseph Benavidez will actually turn out to be a really close fight, and I hope Jens Pulver doesn't get destroyed again. As a fan of Pulver's, I hope he would retire after this. Also, I'm very interested in seeing the Deividas Taurosevičius vs. LC Davis match up. I really dug Taurosevičius-Semerzier from January, so I'm anxious to see if DT has improved since then. All of Davis' WEC fights have been prelims (hopefully they'll end up airing on the new season of WEC WrekCage), but Davis showed some strong potential a few years back on IFL and other promotions. Here's a Davis fight if you're not familiar, he has some things he needs to work on but he unleashed one of the scariest KO kicks of the last few years:
