what is this section for please explain (anyone) please explain what the fractions section is for!!!!!!!

The factions would refer to the various organizations, or 'sides'.

For example, Koizumi Itsuki's 'Organization' is a faction. So is the Data Thingy that Nagato Yuki is from.

And, apparently, the slider organisation. I think there's something to do with time travellers as well.

A faction, in the case of Haruhi's world, would be the type/group of extraordinaries, which are Espers, Time Travelers, Aliens and Sliders.

Koizumi belongs to the Espers, and is working under The 'Agency' that's tasked to keep Haruhi happy enough so as to prevent an Apocalypse.

Mikuru would belong to Time Travelers, and is sent back from the future to observe Haruhi and find out what caused the timequake.

Yuki would go under Aliens, and she belongs to the part of the Integrated Data Sentient Entity that wishes to observe Haruhi's data output without stirring up any trouble.

And of course, our Alan would be part of the Sliders group.

Then there's Kuyoh, Kyouko, Fujiwara, but I shall not talk about them in case of unwanted spoilers.

But then i realized what you were referring to

Doesn't "faction" mean that there should be an organisation? Being a time traveller, a computer, and an annoying-person-who's-better-at-being-a-girl are just types, not factions. So those three are all in their own faction, each recieving orders from it. Ditto for the sliders, as they take orders from the Slider Org, but I'd guess Alan is different, because he has no connections to any organisation. Saya, Kanata and Fuko are all part of a faction.

PS: And Alan is definately different in the aspect that he can't pop up out of nowhere, like Fuko can. Tough luck for him. =P

Well if you put it this way, then i suppose so, since the fact that the SOS Dan's alien, esper and time traveler will be fighting with the opposing Dan's alien, esper and time traveler. But Haruhi has Kyon so they're at an advantage xD

And I think Sasaki isn't interested in fighting Haruhi. Because Sasaki is just a nicer person overall. XD But Haruhi's complete inconsideration of Kyon is what makes her awesome XD.

But Kyon suffering over crazy schemes Haruhi makes is what we all watch SHnY for! That, and how Haruhi tries to deny she loves Kyon. And vice versa.

but y is this here (i understood wat a faction is -spelled it correctly this time) is it here to debate what is better of the 4 or to make our own little group(s) and say we are the better one and wage text wars while makeing this game? that i would love to have cleared up (should have ben more specific on what i was talking about)

No idea why this topic is here. But it's under "Plot Discussions", so maybe its for us to discuss how the Factions relate in the game? Not like we need a reason not chat about Haruhi

yeah ok well i also need glasses (says my doc) they will be in tommrow i did not see that this was under plot discution (lolzzzzzzzzzz) oh and tuna dont worry about procrastination i do it too. like finles are next week but ive done nothing to get ready. my week event i want to go to is 3-4 weeks away and i need to finish my eagle by then. or i cant go. so dont worry (whoo phone call just finished i can start working on the physical labor part the paper work and permits are in WHOO!!!!!! now need to round up vollentiers in my school and troop!!!!!)
