Fired!

what is the best/worse any reason at all for you ever being fired? if applicable, or for getting grounded/in trouble with the law

um... the only time I got fired was from a babysitting job after changing the kid's diaper made me throw up.

Worst reason: Owner's girlfriend HATED me on sight for some reason. I worked there for a month, and their relationship ended up so strained over it, the manager sent me home, and said that I was being fired. Because I was threatening the owner's personal life.


WTF? I didn't even know the girl. Whatever.

I worked at petsmart for 3 months as a petcare specialist, but the specialty manager was such an idiot. My last day I got in a huge arguement(gathered a croud actually) and I punctuated it with yelling at him "You're a fucking idiot!" I then proceeded to clock out and go home

i got kicked off of my jr. high graduation trip to DC for cutting graduation singing practice. to reiterate: i skipped singing practice, and got thrown off the trip.

although that was kind of nice, because it meant that when i broke a kid's nose the next week i had nothing to lose besides, he had it coming. he cracked me in the head with a 500+ page hardcover history textbook.

Couso, if I didn't already you, that would have sealed the deal. I've already decided that if I leave this job, I am running over my supervisor with my truck.

Wow.
I'm considering quitting my job because I get followed around and hit on by every sketchy guy from ages 25 to 50.... it's starting to get scary. They're pretty persistent.

its also strange because I recently discovered no more than a month or two ago, that not everyone has the same "if you dont like it, change it" atitude that I have. And thats how a lot of people get stuck with those "dead end" jobs

Believe me, if this job didn't support me so well, I would have quit a long time ago, based on the way this company treats their employees. Okay, the way my bitch of a fucking supervisor treats her employees. No respect whatsoever.

I've only been fired once...and it was by my mom.


The really bad-sounding version:
I was a teacher on the faculty at her dance school, and I had sex with an underage student.


The more accurate version:
I was 19, and my long-term girlfriend was 17. We'd been together for a couple of years, since before I started teaching...but technically, she was a student and I was a teacher. Somebody mentioned it to somebody, the gossip spread, and soon many of the parents were outraged - so I got fired. Made a public apology, moved out of the state, and started dancing with American Repertory Ballet. So, it all worked out in the end...but it certainly sounds sordid, doesn't it?

Never been fired, not for lack of trying though.

I once had sex with an underage student too, and I used to work in an elementary school program.




Of course, those two facts are completely unrelated. I just wanted to mess with everyone's heads a bit, too.

Aww I've never had sex with an underage student. I feel left out. Though I had sex with a teacher at my school when I was an underage student..

Like taccers, I have (against all reason) failed to be fired yet. Although I did get laid off twice, but I don't count that as the same. Mainly because they don't have to give you a reason for laying you off.

I was laid off from a part time job once, because the company needed a full time employee and I already had a full time job. But that's it.
