Actually thinking back on it, it wasn't bad. I like these kinds of puzzles. Of course, you have to realize that it is one of those kinds of puzzles.

havent given this one much thought yet but the obvious answers arent working for me right now...

it's only a little obvious what the crucial aspect of the level is. it's yet less obvious what to do with that information. you'll get it :)
