The one, The only. Group: VK~Leader Posts: 267 Member No.: 2 Joined: 23-May 08	does anyone get a problem when playing COD4 that randomly (and by random, i mean when your winning and about to take out the whole team by yourself) dies, and a message comes up saying direct X has recovered from a serious problem. It does it litterally every day, it does it once when i play, sometimes in the very first game, sometimes in the 4th game and other times before i can even choose if i wanna kill arabs or yanks. then it doesnt do it again for the rest of that day. I heard it was xfire. which made sence cause Xfire suck at fixing problems they cause, so i tried without logging on, without it even running on my system and it still did it. i need 'elp.. Make sure you have all the updated drivers and all that junk. I've heard some problems have occured between Vista and some lines of Nvidia graphics cards too causing games to crash but looks like this is just a directx problem -------------------- --That's

orion is right. i had that problem with battlefield 2142 for quite a long time. it had the same symptoms. on my old desktop . i had 5600LE NVidia GForce, and i uploaded tha 6500 GT NVidia software instead of the 5600 LE . it helped with the problem little. vista suxx blahh...
