With the murder of the governor by (supposedly) mutant rebels on New Year's Eve, Virote Terra has erupted into a series of openly violent riots. Mutant-human relations have become more strained than ever, with increasingly frequent incidents of violence between the two races, and there has been talk of closing the government-run school for mutants.
