I didn't know that "Brotherhood' was already finished. This Dragonite can't wait to watch it now <3
It's actually not finished as far as I know, but it's 20 episodes in, so It wouldn't be likely for us to catch up to it. And even if we do, we can always start watching some other show. Also keep in mind we'll also be watching some other anime movies through out the semester, so that will also keep us busy.

I thought FMA Brotherhood had a story that's more based on the manga. Which is the same as the first anime to a point, but then swings in a completely different direction.

Hmm...I don't know if I can come today... I NEED to work on my new set and some homework, but it'd be nice to see the familia. Plus, I'm not too excited about either of the series this year
Oh, but we don't get all the points if I don't come, huh?

Well, I don't really have a better idea, so I can't dislike this one too much, but it sounds like it costs money. You're already making it a little difficult on those of us with little to no money with the paint ball and laser tag stuffs... Just saying...
Er... I'm guessing it would be frowned upon to chase everyone who might be in the underground out and attempt to view anime instead of CNN?

The problem with that is EVERYONE has to agree to change the channel, also it would be pretty hard to watch anime in the underground because most people are actually watching CNN or sports

Yes, I already mentioned that it costs money. v__v A movie is about $10, laser tag $8. Think of it more of an event than an actual meeting..
Some organizations go to dance clubs (18 to party, 21 to drink) and King's Dominion... those are expensive, but we're not doing it... yet...
Unfortunately, things like anime conventions and laser tag and paintball are going to cost out of your own pocket.
You get a lot out of them though. It's more of an opportunity to go with a fun group. If you've never done these things before, now is a good time. I'm not forcing you to go.
You already got free chalk (paid for by parita and natalie) and buttons (made by daria and like.. whoever else helps out) and luckily we don't have to pay for printed things like flyers and forms, but it's pretty annoying to design/print/cut up and organize all this crap.
And we do our best to get the rooms, but it just didn't work out this week. I believe we have reserved rooms for the rest of the semester. But since we've missed out on a room for 5 meetings now because of the way they changed the system (though one we were fortunate enough for the office to override it after much communication) ... I'm trying to improvise best I can.
Kenmichi and I also have to get a ton of shit done to get the budget in place as well.
So... I'm sorry that it's so difficult for you >_> But most of the meetings after this will be free, once we get the budget. We're trying not to have every meetings just sitting in a dark room quietly watching episodes. (We already have a karaoke machine, plus if we get the same budget approved from last year, we are getting VCU to pay for craft materials, some food, t-shirts, ID cards, and paid-for reservations for Break Point... which includes their bowling and pool tables.)

The meetings aren't mandatory. If you don't want to pay then don't go and please don't complain about it costing money. It's not going to cost money if you don't go. Remember you don't have to go to the meetings if you don't want to.

Our membership is free guys. Keep that in mind. So when we have events, it has to come out of your own pockets. Our budget doesn't cover everything.
And sorry, the reason for so many events, is cause I had trouble reserving rooms this semester. But we have rooms for the rest of the semester. (except Thanksgiving, go home that weekend.) But the wait paid off, cause we have the Commons Theater for majority of the meetings.

Which is boss, trust me. I used to work for the Commons and Alethia always ALWAYS had the Theater for their events. I'm actually surprised Mike was able to get the commons. So don't fret, the meetings are fun but the events are even more fun because you get to know everyone better.
