I have thought about it a lot before but if I do it I want it to be good looking and I never have enough money to do it.

NOTE: last year at neckocon the convention staff said that you could not wear masks bigger than your hand. I had a friend go as Rorschach and he had to cut his mask

What you serious?! I'm planning on doing Gabumon! That will dampen my plans a lot... T_T

they said you could take off the mask and put it on for pictures but I talk to the neckocon people at otakon and they are trying to work on it

There is nothing in the rules, but apparently it is one. However, this was made in 08 so it's possible the staff has been able to work something out with HRCC.

As I said earlier I talked to them at Otakon and they said they where trying to work for it. they where like it is a 3 class felony in the state of Va and that is why you can not wear masks at HRCC but they could have changed it I would not know

I'll be going. Hopefully I'll have a new cosplay by then.

Yeah but that law only applies to public places and the HRCC is a privately owned place, so technically it shouldn't matter. It's just the HRCC covering their asses for god knows what reason. Someone commented that because anyone can walk around the front hall of the center it's considered public...but I find that a bit hard to believe.

I may try to go. It would be the weekend right after my 21st birthday so it might be a good way to celebrate. Ill have to see how my funding is going.

Hopefully no one will get STABBED this year! (some drunk kids got in a fight over a hoodie and one stabbed the other in front of my cousins hotel room)

But I've been to Nekocon for 5? years now. I think I'll skip it this year for the sake of going to a DIFFERENT convention. I might try out AUSA. No new cosplay until Ota 2010 though I'm saving up for something awesome.

yea I was lol lol lol about that cause I asked the cop out front about it last year and my friend also knew the people up there man that is not the way to show that anime cons are safe.

yeah i know some of the people who were involved too and its a group of kids that actually hate anime but go to cons to get drunk and pick up girls, that kid who got stabbed was incredibly lucky because my friends mom was right there when it happned and shes a registered nurse so she administered medical attention until the ambulance got there! that will teach them to fight over hoodies.

Is everyone going to be wearing cat ears because this is the cat convention? I'd think about going, but I'm not so sure about those ears and tails...

Everyone at Otakon was supposed to pitch in and buy me cat ears and a tail. Why you may ask? I told them Friday night before we all went to bed that if they pitched in and bought the ears and tail I would wear them the rest of the convention. But they didn't, Thank God. hahahaha but honestly, i have never seen people stare at me so hardcore in thought. they were thinking about it
