Hi there, just found this site. I'm brand new to scootering but I've been a great admirer for quite a while. I'm in the middle of trying to restore a Vespa VNB that I picked up. Sadly it's a bit of a mess and will probably take me a while. It's currently being sprayed as i speak and the other parts are coming together... Sadly the engine is causing the most problems and I'm wondering to get a LML or a PX and change the size of the hun down to 8 inch. Or maybe getting someone with the skills to rebuild the engine I have here. Is there anyone on here who could offer any advice?

Cheers
David

Welcome matey!

There`s plenty of folk on here with loads of knowledge and experience of fixing scoots and running them in......especially during the rally season :D

Sadly I don`t know enough to know how little I know! I just ride `em ;)

Welcome to the site, Im sure Northumbria Scooters can help you out contact Jay, he knows where the guys shop is, or you can ask the golden one Jeff from the wearside wanderers for advice he's shit hot. Im sur some of the Tynesiders will welcome you on the site, when they are finished on face book

Hi again, thanks for the replies. It'd be good to get some knowledge and advice from some of you. I've done up a few cars (not engines mind) but never a scooter. Always liked them and have driven a few of my mates ones. As I said in the first post the engine I have is old but I think it's the original and is worth saving.... But seems like an easier option to get a lml or a px one. I'l have a look into the contacts you've provided and get the ball rolling.

Thanks for your help again.
