Is it possible to have a calender section where Forum posters could add/edit any ride out or event for that day? this would save scrolling thru` countless (irrelevant posts ;) ) and enable everyone to see quickly and clearly what`s going on for that date.I believe it`s possible to miss information as we do have numerous sections to check thru`
This wouldn`t take the fun out of the site but increase the efficiency of information sharing. This should avoid events clashing on a particular date. :D

Again... I could knock one up for the main site (tynesiders.com), but not on the message board itself, though I'm sure there was a calendar on the message board at one time.

When I get round to re-jigging the main site properly I'll see if I can do that. That's assuming there's a site for me to re-jig.

Also... I'll make it so there's no join between the web site and the message board.

I haven't forgotten the @tynesiders.com email addresses I promised ages ago either.

I'll look into getting a shoutbox like the one on scooterboyworld, and the new site will definitely have a rideout and events section (cos we never really have any news to put up).

Oh, and I'll write a nice guestbook to replace the one I had to scrap months ago cos of the graffiti.

Anything else needs doing or any ideas you'd like to implement, continue to let me know. I know I keep saying it, but I promise I'll get round to sharpening things up when I get some time.

I'm really choc-a-bloc at the moment doing a few jobs as well as the day job, so the jobs I do for nothing naturally get shoved to the bottom of the to-do list.

Oh... while I'm on... can someone get the tynesiders.co.uk domain name back and make sure the old site gets killed off. (Save the photos first ;) )

That should be sorted now so that all members can add events to the calendar.

Try adding here

Just to let you know I'm working on the site re-design now. It's looking tasty. I've incorporated this Message Board into the main site (www.tynesiders.com). It'll take a little getting used to but it'll be worth it.

There will be an events calendar that I'm hoping everyone will update themselves.

I've had a belter idea for the links section but I'm not revealing that until I've worked out how to do it properly

Janet, if you send me the Admin login for the Message Board (Invision) then I'll look into setting up a shoutbox like the one on scooterboy world. I'd love to get rid of the adverts on here like.

Regarding the website itself, we don't need an upgrade at the moment. The hosts don't provide any more functionality that I need and I can get round most things anyway.

Cheers,

Neil
