Jasmine, Jasmine, where are you going. You arent leaving are you? Jasmine sorted at the male talking to her and continued walking. Come on. You cant leave the pack. You dont possible want to leave me, do you? Jasmine turned around and looked the male into his eyes before displaying a devilish grin. Don't hold your breath. The male shot back at Jasmine yelling, cussing, and fussing. You leave now, this pack will fall. It will be your fault! My fault! she exclaimed back Please. Ive done nothing! You should blame those who elected you Alpha. They supplied the gun and bullets. You pulled the trigger.

Running from the pack was the best thing Jasmine could have done at that time. Things were just not right, and while she didnt leave on the best of terms with everyone, she had to do what she felt was right. She especially remembers that conflict with Serge, current and last Alpha. The words stung him bad and for that moment, he harbored a hate for her. That was what she wanted. But she wished shed left a good note for everyone she cared for. The argument she had with Dvorak didnt go over so well. She pushed him away and both were left heartbroken. Her parents didnt know she disappear until the morning of. And Sora, well, she had mixed feelings about how she handled the issue with her.

And now she was here, in Sparrow, Mass. No one knew she was here and so, it meant starting a new life. And while she had the option of living as a loner, shed feel better in a pack. Being the sociable girl she was, if she could surround herself by others like her, it would ease the pain of losing so much. Before she was know as a Ruggiero Del Rossi daughter. Her middle name was Ruggiero. It meant she was breed a leader and was destine to take Alpha or Beta. No less than Gamma her father told her. But that ship has sailed. Now that she was here, shed be no one special by birth or right. It was an opportunity to be better than what everyone thought she would.

Jasmine entered the building and waited in the room designated for waiting. She held a cup of water in her hand taking small sips of water to wet her dry throat. She wore a regular pair of long dark jeans, red tee-shirt and black and red gym shoes. A chain hung from her pocket. It held her wallet so shed didnt forget or loss it. On the top of her head was a pair of sunglasses. She didnt need to wear the indoors. She patiently waited for someone to show. She didnt want to see to eager to get in. However, she didnt want to show no enough enthusiasm to would make whoever turns her away. She just wanted everything to go smooth. She wanted to make go use of herself, to be part of something bigger.

Why were humans so damned interested in taking the park from him? What they wanted it for (yes wanted and not needed) was ludicrous and Chester wasnt going to give into them. To level all of this land just to make room for houses? Sparrow already HAD houses and surely the population was low enough that the place didnt need more. Surely Dominic had something to do with this scam. Hell, he had money, thousands of years of money somewhere in that manor of his and he was slowly buying off each and every one of the council membersor turning them. Yeah, that would make sensethough, it didnt make sense because the meeting today had been in the afternoon and every one of the members was there. Great, so he was buying them off. Hell, if he would have been turning them, half of his troubles would have been gone right away.

Tension was evident between both of the races, more for the werewolves in his pack than the vampires living in the manor that he knew nothing about. They didnt have a breeding season, their one chance to procreate and if not taken, then left barren for another year. Chester WANTED children and heirs to a throne that was proving so hard to keep. He wanted to finally have an Alphess and not wonder if his pack was going to fall apart because there wasnt one and yet so many female werewolves in the pack. It was questions like these that plagued his sleeping and waking mind, making him tense and more irritable than he normally would be. But, it was how things went and when in a position of responsibility, the ruler is usually the one more stressed out.

Grumbling unintelligently to himself, he swiped a palm back through his mocha colored locks before his hand went digging into his jean pocket for the key to his office. The front door was usually left open for anyone wanting to stop by and wait for him while he was out, but the back door, how he always came into his office, was always locked. His back porch, for instance, was heavily marked with his scent and just inside the door were things that he held dear to his heart. Of course he wouldnt keep them in the drawers of his desk. Boots scuffing against the ground and then meandering up the small porch to the door, he unlocked the lock and let the door swing open while he followed. Hanging up his coat, he locked the door and placed hooked his keys onto a belt-loop so that every time he stepped, he made a noise. Large and rough hands swept over his black long-sleeved shirt before he rolled up both arms to the elbow and crossed the room to the waiting room, which was behind another door. Pulling the door open, he was slightly startled to see someone sitting there.

Looking her over while she merely sat, vulnerable and probably not expecting him as much as he wasnt expecting her, he could mentally shrug and hope that she wouldnt be a problem. She had a cute face, looked like an innocent one, but so had Tala and, well, now she was temporary Alphess. Which, maybe he would have to talk to her about that seeing as how everything with him was much better now and he could be a full-time Alpha now. Clearing his throat, he locked his hands behind his back and pulled himself up as straight as he cold, the feralness that was Chester Billings shining through. I apologize if you were waiting long, he said in a formal tone, eyes searching her face for anything that might give her away. My name is Chester Billings, owner of this national park. What business do you have here Msuh.

Even though he could smell the wolf on her, in her, one always had to be careful of who they told their secrets to.

Jasmine patiently waited for someone to arrive at the office. At first she stood thinking someone would be here shortly or was already here. Her legs were a bit restless. But it appeared not the case and after a while of walking around she finally took a set. However, once in a while she got up to walk around and look outside the window. Maybe she was anxious and a little worried. She had never done something like this before. Since she was born into a pack as the Alphas daughter she never had to try to get accepted into one. The interviewing process would be new to her. Yet she knew she was at the right place. She could smell the scent of the pack land with this being the border per-say.

Jasmine had expected someone to come through the back door, but instead she heard keys unlocking through another door. Immediately she sat on the couch and folded her hands on her cup of water. She watched a wide shoulder man enter the room. He appeared rugged but athletically built. Wavy brown hair with dark brown eyes. He was an intimidating man to say the least. But her eyes liked what she saw. She careful observed him, he eyes wide as she looked him up and down. A small grin appeared over her face as she bought the cup in her hand up to drink the remaindered of her water. Would he notice the grin? Would he care that he eyes appeared to give the look satisfaction of her body? Jasmine was kinda hoping it did, but not at the expense of trouble. Such a fine male as this one probably had a mate or pre-selected for someone already. But by the off chance he wasnt then Jasmine wouldnt mind making friends.

I apologize if you were waiting long. My name is Chester Billings, owner of this national park. What business do you have here Msuh.

Nash, Jasmine quickly replied Jazz or Nash would do fine. And no, I wasnt waiting long Mr. Billings. Jasmine stood up as if and held out her hands as if to shake it. She only gave him her nickname because she didnt tell her real name to people unless she was really close to them. Her name was the definition of trouble back home. Her she planned no to make it that way, but she still kept her nicknames as a way of referring to her. And since this was kind of a formal meeting, she didnt mention that he was free to call her Jazzy. However, if he want to and it just so happened to pop in her head, then he could.

I hear that you have some type of living arrangements here in the park. And thats what Im here for, she said still standing. She could obvious smell the scent of wolves on him. She knew he was one of them, like her. But I assume those are only to those part of the pack am I correct?

Nash, Jazz or Nash would do fine. And no, I wasnt waiting long Mr. Billings.

Nash, Chester repeated automatically, grasping her soft hand within his firm and calloused one before bending over it and planting a gentle kiss along her knuckles. Respect was to always be shown to a lady, even if they were strangers or merely loners wishing to enter into a pack. If his father had taught him anything, it was that, and Chester was sure to try and tame his temper around said females as well as curl his tongue. Bad manners spoke of brutes that hit their females and verbally abused them and Chester was going to try his damnedest to never do either to his mate or another female in the pack. He would make sure that his males also knew how to treat a lady as well.

Standing slowly, he released her hand and dropped his own back to his side. She had said she hadnt been waiting long, but Chester got a different impression. Surely fifteen or thirty minutes if she had gotten water; water that she had conveniently finished drinking and discarded. She was slick, Chester observed, and usually nothing productive came from slick female werewolves. However, he said nothing about it and merely shoved his large hands into his jean pockets while she picked up speaking again.

I hear that you have some type of living arrangements here in the park. And thats what Im here for, but I assume those are only to those part of the pack am I correct?

A warm smile suddenly touched his lips as he tilted his head to the right, a grating chuckle soon wafting out after. His chuckle sounded like rushing water over rocks, soothing and alluring all at the same time. You are correct in that assumption, Ms. Nash, Chester murmured as he lined himself up with her, placing a gentle hand on the small of her back as he gestured to the back room with the other hand. Please, we can speak in here. And with that, led her into the room where he conducted most of his interviews. His back room looked like any old business conducting room that was headquarters for a national park. Pictures of different animals littered the walls, wolves being the main animal of choice. There was a water cooler in the corner, two filing cabinets next to that, and his desk [which was made of oak] was littered with sticky notes and paper as well as pencils and pens. Obviously Chester wasnt a very clean and tidy person.

Sit, he said, indicating to the seat across from him as he took a seat behind the desk. Scooting the chair, he sighed almost contently and rested his elbows upon the desk, his fingers interlacing before him. So, Ms, Nash, Chester began, besides the obvious living space that you inquire about here at the national park, is there any other reason youve come seeking this establishment? Maybe Chester just felt like talking in riddles today
[ sorry it's like uber bad. man, he's like tough to get into... ]

As Chester kissed her hand Jasmine grinned, but she could feel her cheek turn a light pink. While he appeared serious and looked intimidating he showed gentleman like qualities. While she was an outgoing spontaneous risk taking type of girl, she always found herself attracted to the calm collected type. But she liked to think any type of personality would fit her. If there were more males like him around this pack Jasmine enjoy it here a lot.

After she had asked Chester about the living arrangements he cocked his head back and chuckled. She knew that must mean he understood what she was talking about. He responded saying that she was right. Placing a hand behind her back, he led her to his office in the back to speak. While to room looked plain as ever, the desk was a bit messy. He didnt appear very organized. It looked like someone needed to do some cleaning. However, she was sure shed learn all she needed to during to interview that would take place. There was almost always an interview to go through.

Chester directed her to sit in the chair across from his desk. As she took a seat jasmine didnt cross her leg over but closed them resting her hands folded on her lap. Her mother had always told to cross her legs when ever she sat. But in later years that changed and she was instructed to never do so because it wasnt lady like. Personally Jasmine could care less and would anyway she wanted to. But for the occasion shed appear proper as not to hurt her chances of getting accepted into the pack. Nor did she want him to get the wrong impression of her.

So, Ms, Nash, besides the obvious living space that you inquire about here at the national park, is there any other reason youve come seeking this establishment?

Jasmine again smiled showing a friendly face and hoping for a warm reception. Well, Im looking for a stable place to live. I had been doing well at my old home but of recent years things as a whole was not fairing good so I left. I came here looking for others like myself because I cant bare the feelings of being alone. At her last commit her smile grew wider as she cocked her head back slightly. Im a sociable person so I need the company of others. A 'pack' would be good for me.

Jasmine still used the word pack as if it was secretive. Chester hadnt bluntly said it but rather as if it was a normal human thing they spoke about. And for as long he didnt say it neither would she though she knew that the both of them were pretty clear on what each other meant. Later on in the conversation; however, shed use it in the informal plain meaning it was suppose to have, not something like it was used to describe a job she was interview for. She'd use it whether he was comfortable with it or not because that was her purpose for being here today.
