History

In the beginning, there were six wolves. Three male, three female. They didn't remember anything but their names, and they wore dog tags around their necks that had numbers stamped into them. The three females were Malila (4323), Omusa (4321), and Chepi (4324). The three males were Hesutu (4322), Kohana (4326), and Tokala (4325). The six got acquainted with one another, and they explored the lands only to find that they seemed to be stuck on some sort of "island." It wasn't surrounded by water, though. Instead, it was cut-off from the rest of the world on all sides by steep cliffs that seemed to drop forever.

For awhile, things went fine. There was more than enough prey to go around; spring and summer went by without any hint of danger or mysteriousness (save the cliffs that surrounded them and the "numbers" they were assigned). Early that autumn, though, strange things began to happen. One morning when the wolves woke up, they found that Hesutu was missing. Not only that, but all signs of him were gone, as if he'd never even existed. His scent was gone, but the wolves knew that he had been there. It was as if he had been a dream. They were baffled, but life continued and the winter went by.

The next spring, two more of the first six disappeared, just as Hesutu had. Chepi and Omusa were gone without a trace, nowhere to be found and no scent to say that they were even there in the first place. Malila, Kohana, and Tokala feared that they too would become just memories in this strange land, but there was nothing they could do. They tried to keep watch on one another while they slept, but they couldn't be within sight every second. They worried themselves sick, but again, life went on through the summer. One morning Malila awoke to find herself alone, no trace of any of the wolves. She panicked, racing about the lands and nearly throwing herself off a cliff. She convinced herself she was crazy, and went about her life as if the others had just been a dream.

Then, more wolves began to awaken...

Setting

The island does not have a name, really. Malila and the others always referred to it as just "The Island." As for weather, it is a temperate forest with four seasons (spring, summer, winter, autumn). For the sake of making things simple, these will coordinate with the current North American seasons.

Creatures

As of now, creatures are not yet playable, but this is a list of creatures that your character might encounter while on the island.

  • Goats
  • Deer
  • Rabbits
  • Moles
  • Frogs
  • Fish
  • Birds

Date Stamping

In order to keep the game more organized, TI has decide to require all posts to have a "date stamp" in the subtitle. On the island, instead of there being only 28, 29, 30, or 31 days in a month, all months have 50 days in them, but the month names will stay the same and will coordinate with the real-life months. For example, if you wanted your post to take place in late June, you could date stamp it to be "06/45." These date stamps must be included in the subtitle of EVERY topic, no exceptions. The first wolves to arrive after the first six arrived on 10/43/06, no earlier.

About

On 11/10, a mysterious meteor fell from the night sky and landed in Oblate Plains and cast out a glow all throughout the island for about an hour. When the glow subsided, the wolves found that they had gained "abilities" that they did not possess before. Each of them was related to a Roman god, and each wolf was granted with the knowledge of the god's name whose power they possessed. All wolves who arrived after this date also knew of their god's name.

Gods and Powers

Apollo, god of the sun

The wolves who have been blessed by Apollo tend to heal much quicker than others. They are also excellent medics, and have good knowledge of herbs and other medicine. This knowledge is available to them at all times. When they are in a desperate state, they also have the ability to restart another's heart up to ten minutes after death.

Diana, goddess of the moon

Diana's followers are excellent hunters, and it is said that they are able to lull prey into coming toward them. They are also excellent caretakers of children, and give birth very easily.

Mercury, messenger of the gods

These wolves are quick on their feet. They have the ability to run long distances and do it in a short amount of time. They are also excellent at theiving, and are usually able to lie their way out of just about any situation.

Venus, goddess of love

Wolves of Venus are usually the most wonderful to be around. They are cheery, nice, and loving to everybody. In some cases, they can be seductive, but not to the point where they can actively change the minds of others.

Mars, god of war

Mars' wolves are the fiercest in the land. They are very intelligent and very quick-minded, especially when it comes to battle. They are usually very action-oriented and tend not to like very much company. They are also usually the first to arrive when a war or battle is going on and inform the authorities of any wrong-doings.

Jupiter, king of the gods

These are the guards. They look after all the others and keep them away from danger. It is also said that they are immune to lightening strikes and can withstand the sound of thunder even if it is right next to them... all the while not going deaf like most would.

Saturn, god of time

Wolves of Saturn are said to live long beyond their time. It is also said that they are unable to be hurt by wolves of Jupiter, Neptune, or Pluto.

Uranus, god of all

In Roman mythology, Uranus was the father of Saturn (time) and the beginning of everything. The wolves of Uranus are said to have knowledge that not even they can comprehend, and they do not know where it comes from, it is simply there. They do not, however, have the knowledge of their past lives or others' past lives.

Neptune, god of the sea

Swimming is probably the best trait of these wolves. They also enjoy the rain, and will often be seen with Jupiter wolves listening for thunderclaps and watching for lightening.

Pluto, god of the dead

Death is not something very many look forward to, but these wolves are usually aware when somebody is near their death. Though it isn't required of them, many feel the need to tell those who are about to die of their misfortune.
