It SUCKS!
  It really doesn't matter how bad the art is, it's how good the story is. A good story can cover really bad art, while good art can't cover a really sorry story line. |

Uh... first off, hand draw, then color it. Don't use Paint.
Secondly, work harder on scripts. Seriously, it's all that really matters. |

Isn't working broken, or isn't working no drivers?
I also agree that scripts come first. Write out a few good scripts, then turn them into comics. Get something of a story going. Only one-panel comics can get away without scripting. Finally, even if you don't have a working scanner, go ahead and hand draw the comic anyway. You can then refer to them while working on the computer. |

Yup. I've been working on a comic book script for nearly a year now and haven't drawn a single page. Oh, and a free nearly-as-good-as-Photoshop app is The GIMP (and it works on Windows, Mac, and Linux). DOWNLOAD NOW!
