Hello everybody. How are you all? Hopefully all well, excited with the 3-way audio collab between Eye Lazor Beams EX, Legend Force EX and us at Shotgun J. It’s pretty cool. Anyways, enough of that, we’ll give RRF a brief rest in time to find new material and give Pandora some fun and give us all a new Smash, Trash or Whiplash. Last time we covered an EXE battlechip, and I figured we’d stick to that trend and present another chip. This time we’ll take a gander at: ‘Shadow’. Anybody remember this chip from EXE2 and EXE3? I know I sure do. In EXE2, there was 3 versions of this chip and in EXE3, only 1. This is a protection chip that will protect you from all attacks, with the exception of sword attacks. This is quite useful… unless you are fighting someone like ProtoMan/Blues or CutMan or any variant of a Swordy. Also, this won’t protect you from certain types of panel like magma and ice. This isn’t a permanent effect, it lasts about as long as a typical Invis or PopUp, so be careful as after it runs out, you can still get hurt like normal again. In EXE2, the higher the version, means it will last longer then the other versions, but you are still weak to swords. In EXE3, this chip is also part of a trade that will land you an Anti-Sword, two good chips there. This chip is something i occasionally pack into a folder when trying to S-rank a V3 navi in both EXE2 and EXE3, though will pretty much never pack it into a netbattle folder because of the extreme popularity of swords.
Judgement time now. This chip is pretty much immune to everything in existance, except for swords. A plus, and a minus. More often then not, this can be a good protective chip, though personally, i liked to use things like Invis and Shields. Overall, I give this chip family ‘WHIPLASH’. It is a good protector, don’t get me wrong, but the fact that you are vulnerable to swords puts you in the line of fire to anyone who camps on swords and is plain suicide when fighting Blues/ProtoMan.
That concludes this edition of Smash, Trash or Whiplash. Hope everybody enjoyed it and see you all again soon.
