Q: How do I download from Shoebox?
A: You can just click the .doc link and this little downloading box will pop up for you to save. In other words: First step, click the doc link--and that's all! (Or, right click it, and 'save target as..')

Q: How do I donate fics to Shoebox?
A: In this thread: Donations, you can post .docs of fics (that's either yours, a friend's or a .doc we haven't added yet). Once we see your contribution, we'll add it to our list. Please do not donate fics that are requested not to be passed around though.

Q: Can I change my username?
A: You'd have to have at least 500 posts here, then you can PM an admin for that (please refrain from using unrecognizable characters, it might mess up your username). You may only change names every five months.

Q: How do I change my member title (the words above the blue squares)?
A: This depends on your member ranking and how much you post. After you exceed a certain amount of posts, your title will change and you'll gain more pips (those blue squares). Here's the chart:

Newbie 0+ posts (1 pip)
Member 50+ posts (2 pips)
Advanced Member 100+ posts (3 pips)
Shoebox Friend 500+ posts (4 pips)

Q: How do I become a Moderator?
A: We're currently not accepting new Mods to help out. When the forum grows and things get more busy/out of hand, we will post announcements for hirings lol.

Q: You have one of my stories on Shoebox and I do not want it to be distributed. Can you take it off?
A: Sure! Just PM any of the admins or mods and we'll take it off ASAP.

Q: Why do our requests take so long to be fulfilled?!
A: Sadly we're not superheroes. We have school, higher priorities/responsibilities and yet sacrifice our time to help readers. If there's a fic that we can't find, possibly because the author never reposted it after the soompi crash, please be as understanding.

Try not to throw a tantrum but if you have to, PM it to Thao. Thao handles anger-messages because she knows the others who've worked hard on this forum really don't need that kind of attitude T 3T
