Looks nice, but compared to the Mi-8 already in the bucket? It looks a bit.. big I agree, especially given the Mi-8/17 are basiclly the same airframe.

I scaled directly off of rotor diameter. It ought to be within a pixel, frankly.

Don't be silly. Scale off something concrete, such as fuselage length. Don't be lazy and just use wikipedia. Look it up somewhere. Don't be afraid to dig.

This helicopter is completely out of scale. Shown here compared to Gollevainen's proper Mi-8.

If you wish to take that tone... after further research, the actual overall length with rotors turning, out of my copy of Jane's, is 83'0". My version is 92.5 feet; Gollevainen's overall length is 79 feet (assuming the aftmost rotor blade is at full apparent length).

I will accept that I have made a mistake. I will not accept that you are the final arbiter of reality.

I've got a lot of experience drawing aircraft. Just taking the most logical position and doing some research before drawing can really help.

Anyways, I have nothing against you, just saying. Wasn't trying to take a tone with you either... just trying to show you that rotors turning length is NOT something to base scale off of. It's far too ambiguous.

Hope you're not angry with me. :(

Whatever, I've dealt with people that I like and people that I don't like. I have two goals: I want to get stuff right, and I want to make sure you know how you come off to people who are effectively your subordinates (you are in business school, right?).

I am not offended or anything. I will redraw it at the proper scale sometime.

I love how all these threads get turned against me when it's you who are doing wrong; I simply pointed it out, and if you have a problem with that, then you're perfectly within your rights to stop contributing. Please don't tell me how I'm a jerk etc because I've heard it all and I'm tired of it.

When you tell your employees that they're lazy because they've made a mistake, when you yourself only know not to make that mistake because of your experience, they'll hold it against you. This will not be a failing of your employees.

This isn't a "business". This is a hobby. Stop taking things too seriously. Notice how I *did* show you correctly how to solve the problem? If I'm reading this right, *you* were the one who got pissed off at me when I was trying to offer advice, but once again the meaning was lost through the internet.
