I've been thinking about posting a drawing on SB for some time but refrained from doing so because I either thought that whatever design I had come up with wasn't up to SB standards or wasn't of a good enough quality to post. Anywho I've gotten to the point where I think I have something worthy of showing progress on.

I think the following should make reasonable sense so here goes.

Based on an AU frigate for something on a forum I frequent: They are Metallurgical Class Frigates Batch 2 (Batch 2 ships begin with R). For instance ANS Redbreast (F-290)

the bow of the top one looks a bit strange.....
also I doubt an merlin would fit in that hangar, but I'm not sure about that.
the stern below the waterline looks weird, but it could be done I think. I only doubt the functionality of an azipod on an fregate/destroyer, they are mostly placed on larger ships.....

the rest looks kinda good, but I think there is still a lot to do

Thanks for the feedback =]

I did have an older version with twin screw and normals rudders which also had a more conventional line to the stern.

As for the merlin, quick measure up and it is indeed too big for the hangar, will add to the list of things I need to do to it. I may well just leave it at the AW159.

Nice. Especially like the use of SLAMRAAM. Been debating that for a few of my AU designs.

and since when has "various artist" been proper way of crediting? If you're drawing bashes from too many artists that the names don't fit in in the crediting line, perhaps you should try actuall drawing instead of kitbashing.

Considering how likely things are to change in short periods of time credit given in the forum post in contrasting colour to the rest of the post makes more sense to me.

If that's not good enough then fine I'll put the credit in the in progress drawings instead of the forum post, just makes less sense to me.

Those credits won't show up if this ship is uploaded to the Gallery, though. That's why the standards are there.

there are rules in here, if they make sense or not, you have to follow them ;)

Common sense is a bitch I suppose.

Question, would it be worth while to put a row of Mk48 on either side of the hull to either concentrate the foredeck Mk41 on things other than SLAMRAAM or would it be simpler to just keep the Mk41 as it is.

MitcheLL300- The Mast
MihoshiK or Vossiej (not sure which) Small parts from the 'Bloys van Treslong' Drawing
Vossiej - Modified funnel from the Karel Doorman
Various Creators - Parts Sheets
PolluxDeltaSeven - Parts of the Bridge

None of these classify as something big enough or important enough to warrant a mention in the drawing's credits. Hell, as far as I'm concerned, you could just write (blackbuck) and be done with it. Unless you've quite literally copy-pasted an entire superstructure, hull or underwater hull, there's no need to credit these other artists. It's nice that you mentioned them in the thread, but not mandatory. Use of individual parts from Shipbucket do not need crediting, they only require that you place your drawing in the proper Shipbucket template, hope that explains it.

tl;dr, a drawing being in the Shipbucket scale and template itself implies "Various Shipbucket Artists" should be credited.

The highly advanced ''improved'' apar radar tower is a bit overdone for these ships.
I suggest an I mast 400...

Why have you taken the drawings out of the template? The template is a required part of ANY drawing that uses Shipbucket parts.

Not half bad, however you should display the Harpoon missile horizontally if not launched from a VLS.
