friend Group: Premium Members Posts: 1,144 Member No.: 417 Joined: 10-February 09	To CanisD, in Spain natural selection for fighting bulls is the only way possible, since it�s not done with the bull (male), it`s done trough the cow (female), it�s she the one that transfers the genes necessary for the success of breeding a "healthy angry fighting bull ( Toro de lidia )", once the little calfs are born, they stay with the mother for almost 2 years in wich she teaches him how to fight, after that the young bull is separated from her, and not before 4 more years will pass before he is ready to literally "kill" the "matador". This last issue is the reason, why after letting the bulls free, and after they reach the "plaza de Toros" (Bull park), in order to grab the bulls inside the "plaza", they let a cow with balls on her horns (vaca embolada) enter there, to encurse the bulls out of the plaza. :)

A bit like reading Hemmingway, running with the bulls is something to do once in your life. I recall that LP's sister once got involved, ended up climbing a lampost or something (though I would have thought the bulls were running from her)
