If someone wants to know reasons for moderator choises, I think the procedure was rather simple: MihoshiK and Portsmouth Bill have been with us long time....MihoshiK longer than anyone else, and Bill since the e-mail group days IRC.
Both have also made good example of caring and working on for the forum and community, and have shown substantial maturity to be able to fill the ranks.

I would like to see the system evolping so that the mods will take care of the routine procedures in keep you guys in line, and us administrator will step in only if things starts to get out of hand + be there with all the technical and rules/accepting drawings stuff.

Time to get serious - though I've enjoyed the 'crack'. I was 'flabergasted' to be asked, and I for one will need a learning curve to be able to serve the members; but I'm expecting Colosseum,Gollevainen and Nighthunter to stear me in the right direction. I consider it to be an honour to be asked alongside Mihoshik, and as Golly says, it will take some of the pressure off the administrators.

My motto is: if it aint broke - don't try and fix it; and essentially, the Board runs well because members rub along together and respect the aims of Shipbucket. I beleive strongly in having rules that govern us all - me included; otherwise, this Board will suffer and the good work of many will not receive the care and attention it deserves. And of course, I'm still inputting as a member, so I hope to continue with my own drawings.

I consider having erik_t as a moderator a most sensible move by the admins. He has a good grasp of the tehchnical side of the subject; and I'm hoping he will feel inspired to advise on some of the 'interesting' contributions from members.

with every forum, time to time some of the other mods migth not show up and thus creates a security vaccuum that the "unruly bastards" take full advantage of. Lately (as witnessed with the AU purge) the constant flow of new members with little idea of the community itself have constrained me and Colloseum so much that we decided to need fresh pair of arms into work.

Also, moderator status meand the strongest level of trust that a member can get from the adm. so it works also as a way of "reward" some of our members.
For that case, Its "preserved" mostly to bit older and sensible chaps that have good knowledge of naval matters and have shown intress in guiding others in their drawings. Erik_T's crusade against nonsense among the USN related AU stuff has been noted warmly by us other elders.

He sure slapped some sense into my thick skull a time or two in the AU/Own Designs forums. Congrats, Erik_T.

What does ''Premium Members'' mean? Just curious, I know what it is in Dutch (The same) but realy no idea what the definition is.

It means more advanced than regular members but not as advanced as Elite Members.
