Katherine promptly scrunched her nose in disgust she did not want to think about the state of their dorms. Though, those thoughts were quickly pushed to the back of her head, 'No use thinking of something we can just deal with later.' She laughed luxuriously as Blake did cart-wheel.
She fell in love with the elevator the moment she saw it. She was about to declare they went for a ride when Blake declared the same thing. As soon as the elevator door opened she was tranfixed by the luxury of the elevator. 'I have never seen an elevator with carpets nicer than the ones in my house,' she thought giddily. The next thing that struck her was the mirrors that circled the entire elevator.
Katherine stared at Blake's reflection in the front panel. She never noticed how .. how stormy Blakes eyes looked. It was like looking into the heart of a thunderstorm. She then turned to look at her own reflection. Her hair still wild from that morning when she could care less about making a good impression to her schoolmates made her appearance look as fierce as she felt. Her brilliant green eyes were not narrowed as they had been since she boarded the plane that morning but replaced with full eyes shimmering with laughter. She barely noticed the warmth Blake's hand provided as he pulled her into the elevator.
Katherine shook her head breaking her eye contact with the mirror. She immediately recovered from her stupor and excitedly dashed to press the button for the top floor. "The top floor has all the best things," she grinned. The elevator dinged as the door slid open revealing a long hallway full of what appeared to be the senior dorms. "Oh my God, are these the dorms? We have got to see if one of the rooms is unlocked."
She ran to the first door she saw, room 224, and checked to see if it was open. To her utter dismay, the door was locked. She sighed and tried the next door. To her amazement, the door clicked open.
"Blake! This door is open. Come on, let's go in!" Without waiting for a reply, she walked regally into the room. If the hallways were supposed to portray what the rooms were like, the rooms were severely injusticed. The entry lead directly into the living area/dining room fully decorated. The neutral colored fluffy couches added comfort and practically invited someone to curl up and read a book. The walls were painted in an olive green accented by a thick cream carpet. The dark hardwood dining table provided a sense of unity in its circular shape. The kitchen was tiny, nothing more than a small counter furnished with bare utilities (there was no microwave and simply provided a refridgerator and a stove). She supposed this was Woodland's way of encouraging the student population to eat in the school's cafeteria. Off the living room were two seperate doors leading to the bedrooms.
Katherine plopped onto the couch and exclaimed, "If this is what the senior dorms look like, I could definitely get used to attending this academy."

Fiona Kentigerna, a top third year walked down the path in Woodland Academy, this year she was going to be helping with the Orientation. She wondered what type of students would be coming in this 2008/2009 year. Being from the highlands of Scotland, she did not like the heat what-so-ever, so she pulled her hair back and then wiped the sweat from her face. "Blessin me, canna nay try to give me some cloud, thata be all I ask." she mumbled as she kept walking towards the building that was going to be used for the Orientation.
Fi turned her head and thought she saw two students, maybe even first years go into the Senior dorm. "Och, why be me that sees," she mumbled again and turned the direction of Senior dorm. Fi was unsure what she would come to say to them. She just knew that if certain Seniors knew that a bunch of first years there, she know not what would happen.
She walked a little more quickly and entered the dorm building. She was always in awe with the design. She saw that they used the elevator and went to the top. She smack her forehead and mumble something that even to her sound coherent.
Pulling her body to the elevator, once she got in she pressed the top floor botton. How was she to say anything to them when she herself did just the same.
Once it reached the top floor the doors opened. She walked slowly down the hall and then saw that one of the dorms rooms was open. She closed in and looked into the room and said, "'ello there lad and lass, might be good for ya to leave before the senior that lives here comes back." She was not forceful, more of a light-hearted tone.

As the elevator still rose to the top, Blake's hand was still softly clasped around Katherine's. He stood there, smiling, and then, with a small ding, the doors slid open to reveal a hallway just as luxurious as the common room. They dropped their hands to their sides and started trying to open door to get in. Finally, Katherine found one and she pushed it open.
Exploring the dorms gave him an adrenaline rush that he had never before witnessed. This had to be one of the best and most exciting things he had ever done. Blake was now exploring the kitchen. He opened drawers and pulled out knives and oven kits. He was also looking in the refrigerator. There was nothing populating it at the moment. No surprise, but a shame. He was starting to get hungry.
Then, the door squeaked slightly and a girl walked in. She was older. Much older. Blake was fearful that this might be the Senior that this dorm was assigned to. Blake moved around the oaken table in the living area and stood behind it. Katherine was still in the kitchen. Blake shot her a frightful look.
She told us that we should leave before the seniors arrive. Blake looked back at Katherine, and then back at the girl who had entered the room with a confused expression.
"Why aren't you mad? And what do you mean? I thought orientation was only for freshmen," Blake was confused and terrified. Then, he heard footsteps. Blake ran behind the counter, grabbed Katherine's arm and they dashed out of the room as the seniors made their way to their new dorms.

Fi noticed that young ones left before she could answer the lads’ question. She turned to the footsteps and all it was a janitor. She wanted to laugh at the two who rushed out of the room and probably out of the building faster than a bullet. She held back the laugh and left the room and the building all together. She did see the kids again and smiled. Fi, just did not want them to get in trouble with Seniors.
“Sorr’ if I was rude to ye both,” she said loud enough for them to hear, “I just couldnae let ye be caught by some of those Seniors.” She smiled at them. Fi pressed her left hand on her forehead as she felt the heat to her again. She felt the dizziness pass and she said, “Name be Fiona Kentigerna, many call me Fi. And what be yer name lad and lass?”

Blake looked into the face of the girl in front of them. There was no trace of rudeness, anger, hatred, or anything that he had expected. He looked at her strangely, his head cocked to the side. Then, she spoke with that thick accent and she looked like she was one of the friendliest people he had ever seen. Blake breathe left in one long gust of air, and then, he spoke after Katherine.
"Hi. I'm Blake," he said, still looking kind of shaky and nervous. He wasn't sure how he was supposed to feel about this situation. They had just escaped narrowly from what could have been seniors. Blake had no idea. He folded his arms across his chest and started his apology.
"Listen, I'm sorry about running out over there. We were honestly just curious about the freaking mansion that these seniors live in. So, we decided to take a little excursion into the dorm as a part of our tour. We weren't thinking that we were going to be caught. And then I panicked. So, sorry about that, again," he said nodding, and then looking down to the pavement once more.
It seemed ages ago that Katherine and Blake had discussed ditching the tour. He didn't know what time it was, but the sky was beginning to fade to a darker purple and the sun was no longer visible beyond the various types of trees. He sighed and looked around the see other student walking up and down the paved roads, looking at maps, drinking fountain sodas, and talking on cell phones.
The orientation had begun. The tour did not start for another half-hour, but, Blake still had no intention of attending it. He was having too much fun with Katherine as it was and he wasn't going to let some grubby old teacher ruin this fun, and suddenly cool day.

Fi looked at both of them and then said, "Twas the janitor. I asked if he woulda be kind to not tell. I'm to be helpin him tonight fer keepin it." She noticed Blake hanging his head. She came up to him and with her left index finger lifted his chin and added, "donna be worried, ye were curious. Most are, just make sure ye be more careful with yer curiousity."
She smiled at them both for she has also had a curiousity that her father was bound to believe would give her nothing but trouble. "So, ye are new here?" she asked as she noticed the orientation from a distance had already begun, and she knew the teacher was going to upset if she was not there, oh well, these two were more interesting to be around.

Katherine snorted out a chuckle as she heard Fi tell her that they dashed out of the senior dorm because they were afraid of the big bad janitor. She looked over at Blake wondering if he still wanted to ditch the orientation. Katherine wanted to explore the area so badly and meeting Fiona seemed to hamper their afformentioned plans... Maybe if she pretended she lost something.. No, that wouldn't work.
"Yeah, we're new here," Katherine nodded. Acting on her gut feelings, Katherine asked, "Hey, Fi. Are you helping with orientation? I mean, I thought only Freshman went through this torture. Won't they be missing you soon?"
Katherine tucked her hair behind her left ear when she noted the earring was missing. "Blake!" she cried fearfully. "My earring is missing. It must have dropped off when we bumped in together at the administrative office." She forcefully yanked Blake by the elbow as they walked break-neck speed towards administration. "Nice to meet you, Fiona! Hopefully we'll see you around on the first day of school!"
As soon as they made it to the administrative office, Katherine pretended to look for an earring. "Do you think that she bought that I lost an earring? Granted I wasn't wearing any earlier, but I wanted to talk to you in private to see if you still wanted to leave orientation. If you don't, we could go back and meet up with Fiona and I'll remember that I didn't put on my earrings this morning. So, do you still want to ditch orientation?" Katherine whispered as though a teacher was behind her.

She looked at the two of them as they left. She felt like she was dumped. She did not even get to answer Katherine, figure that she would not get a word in. "Ah well" Fi could hear the teacher yelling for her. She knew it was high time she go help, lord knows why she should since they did have enough help, but she often remembers why she does things when she has really no friends. "Comin ma'am" she called and walked towards the orientation area.

Blake was pulled to look for Katherine's earring, but then, she announced that she wasn't really loosing an earring. Blake gave up on trying too hard. He just felt the ground, not looking at her and continuing on with their conversation. "Yeah, I still do... Nice idea. I didn't know how we were going to get out of that."
Blake took a glance up an saw that Fiona looked disheartened and kind of depressed. She was just about to run away when Blake straightened up, ran at her and grabbed her elbow. He looked at her apologetically and then, ran into an explanation on what they were going to do.
"Okay, to tell you the truth, me and Katherine aren't planning on attending the orientation. We haven't been planning on it for quite a while. You're on the orientation committee, obviously, so we were afraid that if we told you what we were up to. You obviously don't looked to enthused about showing a bunch of Freshmen around, so, if you want to come with us and maybe show us around, that would be great. But, if you're planning on ratting us out, I'm afraid I'll have to kill you," Blake said laughing a little, and pulling her away from the road where she was visible by the teacher.
Blake looked at Katherine and then gave a small smile. "We're taking her with us."
