credit goes to
infamy and entropy for creating it/giving us permission and
crash and burn for making CER! privy to it.
* EARNING POINTS !the following actions will get points:
TWO POINTS:
* for each APPROVED ship you make in someone else's plot page. YES, you get these PER character. So if you make a post that contains plotting for three of your characters, you get 6 points. YES, these plots have to be approved and updated by the page owner before you can claim the points.
Easy points here, kids!
FIVE POINTS:
* make an IC post of quality that's 500+ words
* catch a mistake on the site
* make the first post in an unused RP forum (10 points if it's 500+ words)
* each month you're active
* post an RP thread specifically for a new member to RP in (NOT new character)
* give a correct answer to someone's question in the letters to the editor forum
* do a staff member a favor
* create a new game in The Arcade that ten DIFFERENT members have participated in
TEN POINTS:
* reach an increment of 100 posts (not all must be IC/can be owls/notes/plotting)
* post our add on another active forum
* recruit a new member on the site (have them mention you in their app)
* participate in a plot-related 'official' thread
* make a suggestion for the site that we decide to use
* submit a new sub-plot
* suggest a new purchasable item we decide to use
* anything else that's completely awesome that the staff notices
* WHAT YOU CAN BUY !Points DO reset after spending them. So sometimes it may be best to save!
A bullet at the end of the title means it is ONLY available for a new character.
* 200 POINTS: POLYJUICE POTION: whether brewed by your character, bought in knockturn alley, or randomly found/given to you, you'll have a vat of polyjuice potion to last for FIVE single threads. NOTE: your character MAY get into trouble if caught using this!
* 200 POINTS: VERITASERUM: in the same nature of the Polyjuice Potion, your character will have access to a single vial of veritaserum, which will be sufficient for THREE uses/threads. NOTE: your character MAY get into trouble if caught using this!
* 200 POINTS: FELIX FELICIS: one vial of liquid luck, which is certain to make the user exceptionally lucky for 48 RP hours (or 24 in separate uses).
* 300 POINTS: TIME TURNER: your character will be given a time-turner to use RESPONSIBLY for THREE MONTHS RP time.
* 350 POINTS: AMORTENTIA: on vial of extremely powerful love potion which will drive your target mad with love for up to FIVE THREADS. Good for ONE use only! NOTE: your character MAY get into trouble if caught using this!
* 400 POINTS: BITTEN BY A WEREWOLF/VAMPIRE: your character may be bitten by an NPC or another character to become a full werewolf or vampire. NOTE: part-vampires and part-werewolves may or may not need these points based on their family background (i.e., PM CER!) If your character is in Hogwarts and is bitten by a vampire, he/she WILL be removed from school.
* 450 POINTS: TRANSFER STUDENT •: create a new character who has transferred from another magical school. NOTE: Durmstrang and Beauxbatons are CO-ED schools.
* 450 POINTS: INVISIBILITY CLOAK: your character may obtain an invisibility cloak. The enchantment of the cloak will wear off after three month's RP time. To re-enchant an existing cloak, one needs to obtain the same number of points.
* 500 POINTS: REGISTERED ANIMAGUS: your character may become trained to become a registered animagus. for 15+ only! New characters may already have this power.
* 550 POINTS: UNREGISTERED ANIMAGUS: your character may train him/herself to become an unregistered animagus. for 15+ only! New characters may already have this power
* 600 POINTS: SEER: you may either elect for one of your characters to See the Inner Eye, or create a new character with that power. Character MUST do well in Divination to receive this power.
* 750 POINTS: METAMORPHMAGUS •: you may create a NEW character who is a metamorphmagus.
* 1000 POINTS: DESCENDANT OF A FOUNDER •: you may create a NEW character who is a direct descendant of a Hogwarts founder (with the exception of Slytherin).
