NOTE: As a member of the board figured out, the conversion process SLOWS the sound file by approximently %1. This may seem trivial, but if your file is synced with the powerpoint, it may cause problems. To fix this, simply open Audacity and speed the file up by 1% to offset this.

You may also say using Cdex isn't really ideal for when you are having a game with looping .wav files in it. For some reason, there is a half a second or so disruption after the loop has played and causes a slight break in the looping. To put it another way, as soon as the sound that you have converted has finished, it seemed to add like half a second of no sound to the end of it, causing the loops to have a little pause before restarting.

I am having trouble with sound. When I go onto a slide in presentation a sound plays, fine. But, if I leave that slide and return to it later the sound no longer plays. I don't want to make the sound play upon a transaction because that would stop the music playing the background.

Does anyone know a way around this? I'd love some help, thanks a lot.

You either need to make a slide before the slide with sound ) a copy with no animation is best but blank will do) give it a transition of auto - zero secs and make all links to that slide.

OR

make the slide with sound a custom show and link to that

Not too hard for a genius! ;-)

I wasn't considering reseting the slide but it'll perhaps be the best thing, thanks for the help! tongue.gif
