-*Not So Grand*- Re-Opening!
We're finaly along enough for the rping to start up again! This site has atleast 10x more content then it did in version 2! Almost nothing is left to a 'just make something up' basis, and we ACTUALLY have a working battle system! There are planted items and trainers on most of the routes, and we have all the gyms with gym leaders (YES, even the Igex Gym is filled!) There are a few new Pokemon that were added in at the last minute, and all of them (besides the Uncatchables and a few in the regular dex) can be obtained! Although we are restarting, there are still things being done to the site, like finishing the large sprites for some of the Pokemon in the (Now Complete!) Technical Dex. Please remember, untill you see: BETA COMPLETE! somewhere, we are still in the Beta.
Let the fun restart!!!!

A note to trainers that were previously on the site: You have 3 choices if you want to keep playing. One, continue from where you left off before and skip over the routes that are behind you (HIGHLY not recomended), Two, Keep your Pokemon exactly the same and start over from Aesipry Town, and Three, just plainly start over. Either way, you must re-register in the Aesipry Town Lab. (Note to Gym Leaders: YES, YOU DO TOO!)

Directions and Rules
Hi, and welcome to the Grato Region RPG, Pokemon Bronze Version! If your used to the games that Nintendo have made for the various handheld consoles, in which you control the game watching the screen and pressing buttons, be prepared, for this is an entirely different gaming experience. In this game, you must write out your actions and speech, as this game is played through a forum-RPG system. Along with new Pokemon and Items, and the continuous events that will happen throughout the Grato Region, whole new challenges now await you!

Getting Started:

After you first register to the site, you will not be able to jump into the game at the same second. You need to first go to the Aesipry Town Lab, and submit an RPG registry topic. From there, you can pick your Starter Pokemon, and a bunch of other customized things to choose from. A mod will be assigned to you, and they will be responsible with guiding you through the game. They will create a profile for you, which will be in the Computer section of the Pokemon Center. Another profile will be made for you, which goes in your Signature. The mod will continuously update this, and it can be displayed on every post that you make. However, you are not permitted to alter or add anything to the trainer information part of your signature (sig for short). You can add things over it, but if they must be deleted to allow enough room for your trainer information, it will be without question. If an admin or mod discovers that a sig has been tampered with, it will result in an immediate warning. If the problem happens a second time, it will result in short term banning from the forum. Any times after this is a complete banning. Now, after your information is added and done, your mod will take you through the now-visible rest of the game. Also, if at any time you wish to change your mod, you may do so through the Mod Change forum in Suggestions and Petitions.

Battling:

Wild Pokemon or Trainer battles alike happen throughout the course of the game. Wild battles may happen any time on a route, and the few trainers on the route will battle you as you pass them. You are responsible for calling out your Pokemon and directing them on what to do. Your mod will then carry out the directions you have told your Pokemon, what the other Pokemon does in return, and the results of both. In Gym Battles, or any other battle where a person other then your mod is battling you, the opponent directs their Pokemon, as do you, and your mod carries out the directions to both Pokemon and the results. Double Battles are the same, just with more Pokemon.

Pokemon:

There is a small change in the way Pokemon are raised in our region. If you’ve enrolled in the Poke School, and passed Gastly’s classroom, then you will be able to clearly speak with your Pokemon. Since they can now talk to you, you can no long treat them like animals, unless they ARE still like animals. They have feelings, and they are eligible to disobey you if you’re harsh on them. And, as a rule, there is NO abuse toward them allowed. We will determine what ‘abuse’ can be classified as. But overall, they’re just like people in a sense, and should be treated like people. Also, you may not neglect any Pokemon you own. That means leaving them in your computer and never touching them again.

Now, lets give you a brief walk through of the components of the Information Platform, a trainer’s aid throughout their journey:

The Pokemon Center:
This is where you can heal your Pokemon back to full health. You can do so from just about anywhere in the RPG, considering you aren’t in a battle. You do not even have to leave your current area, or make a reference to going to it. All you need to do is submit the form they ask you for in your own topic, and someone will verify that they’ve been healed.

-The Computer:
The computer is a place inside the Pokemon Center, where your Profile is stored and any wild Pokemon that you’ve caught and had no room for, or items you’ve deposited are placed. As with the Pokemon Center, you can access it almost all the time. As a rule, you are NOT permitted to reply in anyone’s computer topic but yours. If you catch a Pokemon after you already have 6, it is naturally sent to your computer topic. You can request to have that Pokemon withdrawn by posting: Withdraw -Poke Name-, Deposit -pick one of yours-. Your mod will then make the switch, assuming you aren't in a battle or something.

The Pokedex:
This is where detailed entries for all the Pokemon in the region are held. There is a quick list for faster viewing, which allows you to go directly to the page of the Pokemon you click on. It is great for looking up things on an enemy Pokemon, or your own.

The Other Dex’s:
This is where other Pokedex-Type lists are stored. There is the Attack Dex, which gives you the details on all the attacks in the game, as well as the Berry Dex, Ability Dex, and Trick Dex.

The Creation Lab:
This is a nifty little place that you can enter in your own Pokemon ideas, to see if they can go into the Pokedex. There’s also a place where you can freely rp with them, or just freely rp whatever you want.

The Minishops:
The minishops are a place where you can set up your own shop (in it’s own topic), and you can sell whatever you want to get rid of for whatever price you want. Be it straight buying or bidding, it’s your store. Also, as a default, every store has a no-return policy.

The Poke School:
This is the school run by Gastly, a ghost Pokemon who acts like one of the staff members around this region, as well as just about all of the others. Here, he’ll teach you about the rules that govern the Pokemon world, and also he’ll teach you how to understand and speak in the Pokemon’s Language. Also there is a guide for better rping, and the Pokemon Lottery.

The TM/HM Shop:
This is where you can buy any TM in the game, as well as get the free HMs after completing certain points in the game.

The Maps:
This is where you can see maps of places in the region. Underneath the actual map image is a list of all the places on the map, which link to the actual place.

The Journey Update List:
This is where you can post a complaint that your journey hasn’t been updated by your mod. Post here after 2 days of nothing, and someone will get right on it for you.

And finally, the basic rules laid out for you.

(RPG) Things you can't do:

-There is ABSOLUTELY no tampering with your signature Trainer Info.

-No one is the perfect trainer. Your Pokemon will get hit, and things will go wrong. That’s just life. There is NO rampaging over this. At ALL.

(Non-RPG) Things you can't do:

-There is no posting in every topic just to have your name under every one. That’s annoying and meaningless.

-No steeling images from this site. Must ask for permission first.

-There is absolutely NO spamming.
-There is no advertising in sigs. Put them it in the advertisement section.

Regular RPG rules:

•No god-modding.

•No flaming.

•No violations of any rules or whatever TOS there might be.

•No scamming/hacking

•No Chains

•No advertising

•No cursing in excess (We are a little more lax with this rule, but still follow it)

•No 7074l ch47 1337. (Random letter spamming)
Not only is it annoying, but also the intelligent ones out here can't understand you.

•Use some kind of semi-literacy at the VERY LEAST. (Meaning no *action text* write it out!)

• No Aim language like wit or ur (Some of the admins might, but they can, so get over it.)

Etiquette: Ah, yes, a lesson on manners. Some people might naturally be mean, you see. As mature, young adults (and maybe you old farts out there), I expect you to know when you're hurting someone's feelings or not. Remember, every member on here is a REAL PERSON, and has feelings!

And lastly, PLEASE have some common sense. You can’t fly around by yourself without anything under you. You just, can’t.

You've been Gastly-ified
