It's finally coming out! I've been going on the Systems Officer website everyday for months, and yesterday I finally got the news I was waiting for:
hey hey.. i just wanted to let everyone know who's interested that i finally finished the new systems officer album. its taken a lot longer then i ever wanted or planned, but in the end im really happy with it. i hope everyone will enjoy it. there are 11 songs. the album comes out on ace fu records on september 15th 2009. i will also have copies on hand when pinback goes on tour later this year in october '09. thanks for being patient.. :-) -zach |

 I'm afraid Pinback's not coming to Europe this year though. And how I would love to see Three Mile Pilot live...  |

I assume that it'll be a US-tour first. And then a Europe-tour feb/mar 2010. Haven't heard anything official yet, except for those words above from Zach. |

Finally! I've been waiting for this news for a long, long time! I was hoping for a solo tour (is that silly?), so maybe he'll play some Systems Officer songs this fall. That would be great.

That would be great! I'm still trying to find a way to see them live since I live in Ohio. Wish I had seen the last Oct. at the grog shop! I hope the new album gets a vinyl release.. |

As I am still upset at the fact the "concert only ASCII E.P." has still not been put up on the Merch site for others to buy yet. Although a shout out to Helo Dargness for the hook up, buddy, but I still want the real thing. Anyway...
I guess fans are left to scour the earth for tidbits of info on their favorite bands new music i.e. system officer, pinback, 3 mile pilot, rob crow.... because their websites are updated about once a year if we're lucky. So I guess we have to work for it to be loyal fans. So.... ***After much searching the new System Officer album is named "underslept" and is NOT being distributed by Ace Fu Records and out September 15, 2009, BUT is being distributed by TEMPORARY RESIDENCE and will be available OCTOBER 1, 2009 by Website and in stores November 3, 2009. *** I'm thinking that that info right there will sell quite a few more copies of the new CD now that the loyal fans know when/where they can pick it up. So you can send me a copy of the new System Officer CD and a copy of the ASCII E.P. and we'll call it even Zach. What do you think LOL?? I love you guys, but you make it hard sometimes. I agree with you Hurley, it is a bit frustrating to go on their website every other day, knowing you won't find anything new, but you do it anyway...

oh by the way if you go to the systems officer myspace zach just uploaded a new song off the new album and there is a picture of which i imagine to be the cover
