` starlight destinies is a literate/advanced rpg based on the latest version of the sailor moon saga, Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon
it is good to have some knowledge of the sailor moon saga, mostly either the magna or the actual PGSM series, though it's not necessary. we're more than happy to fill in any blanks.
what you need to know.
NEWSFLASH.
We're just starting out and are pretty much casting for everyone. We'd love to see you come on board and make our game a long and fun one.
For the first time every, we're implementing a NO APPLICATION basis. All we're looking for is a role playing sample written in the character you're intending to play. Because if this all character are on a first come, first basis.
Please click here, to be taken to the character register sample page.
Registering a character for our game is simple. All we're looking for is a good grasp of the character. Therefore all we're asking is for a role playing sample. It should be posted to this thread as a reply. There are a few choices depending on whom your playing. As we're in the R season of Sailor Moon there are a few things to keep in mind.
* Usagi and the Senshi have lost their powers, having only been temporarly granted them back by Neo-Queen Serenity to banish Mio who'd returned to take over earth. However seeing as The Dark Moon Family have settled on earth, Luna is force to awaken and return their powers to the Senshi once more. If you're applying for a Sailor Senshi, your role playing sample MUST revolved around the Senshi's second awakeneing. (The outer senshi will come into play later in the game, and for the moment are considering ordinary civillians with the expection of PLUTO)
* The Tennou, with the execption of Mamoru have all retained their memories both of the past life and their time spent on earth serving Beryl. Having been granted human bodies by the Silver Crystal, the Tennou have been protecting earth while their master sleeps. If you're apply for a Tennou, your role playing sample MUST revolve around keeping the planet safe from left over negative energy.
* The Dark Moon Family have finally found their way to earth and are looking to destroy the key Crystal points and stop Crystal Tokyo from becoming. Seeing as we're starting off with Chibi-usa under the control of Wiseman and acting as Black Lady, she too has an open sample choice. If you're applying for one of the Villians, you have an open choice for a sample.
* All civillan players have an open choice for their sample. This includes Haruka, Michiru, Hotaru as well as Luna and Artemis.
Usagi sat up in bed, rubbing her eyes and looking around her room. She felt like she was seeing it for the time in years. It must have been her dream, it seemed so long and so real. She was some kind of princess, and there were people fighting for....what was it...planets? Usagi just shrugged and put in her favorite CD of all time and sang along with "Romane" by Minako, as she got ready for the day. She opened up her music box and stood there, listning to the music as it played. She had heard it from somewhere before...but where?
"Coming!" She yelled back as her Mother called her to hurry up and eat. She closed the box and raced downstairs to get her meal. She watched the TV as she ate, Minako was doing a new tour, and talking all about it. Her voice was drawing Usagi in, and she knew she heard her voice in her dreams...Her mother shook her out of her daydream and handed her a lunch. "Hurry or you will be late!" Usagi nodded and ran out the door towards the school.
She started to walk as she got closer, turning her head as she heard a car pulling up fast. She looked in the window as it sped past her, seeing a man she thought she had seen before. "Oh...its him...He is so rude!" She growled and kept walking, almost stepping on a stuffed cat. "I think ive seen you before. Yup, you were here yesterday too. Lets put you here for your owner." She picked up the stuffed cat and placed it on the wall. "There, now she will see you for sure kitty." Usagi smiled and ran off to the school as her friends called her to hurry
I can live with that. On a quick note though, Usagi and Mamoru are acutally married by this point. Our version of R takes place after the special act, and thankfully they tied the knot in that episode. So in all future posts, keep that in mind.

She stood on the balcony of their residence. An off-white lacy corset like top covered her upper torso. Her lower half wrapped by an elegant silk skirt, a subtle peach hue. A light opaque shawl hung over her shoulders. Sea green locks fluttered lightly in a cool breeze. The colder air sending small goose bumps over her exposed skin. Orbs of a pure ocean blue gazed almost emotionless as they peered into the deeps of the starry filled sky.
Her arms wrapped slowly around her upper form as she felt anther cooler breeze. Eye lids fluttering closed shortly after. Her thoughts filled with images of a brunette.
"Where -- is she..." the words spilling freely from her berry-rose tinted lips.
When her eyes opened again they shown more emotion, hints of worry. Her once calm features started to reflect a growing worry. It wasn't like Haruka to be late for one of their rendezvous'.
"I sense something... the waters are becoming troubled by --" pausing a abruptly upon hearing the sliding glass doors opening behind her.
Knowing whom it was she spoke up, "Ha-ru... ka... explain" she snapped suddenly. Her words filled with venom.
The pop sensation, teen idol Aino Minako stared hesitantly into the mirror before her, awaiting her final makeup check before she went out and faced her fans. Even now, backstage she could hear the chanting starting up and she felt her lips turning downwards into the beginnings of a frown. The excitement of her fans didn't give her nearly the motivation it once had, a sad fact that the young idol had only recently come to terms with. It wasn't so much that Minako had grown tired of the level her popularity had sat at, but rather that something seemed to be missing in her life. A very vital part that made up who she was.
Or had been.
She seemed to be suffering from a strange memory block, though she wasn't sure why, Minako was positive that it had some relevance to the empty feeling that seemed to be consuming her from the inside out. Still frowning at her reflection, Minako caught sight of her dressing room door opening from the corner of her eye and turned her head slightly to bark at whom she'd assumed was her manager. However it wasn't her manager that greeted her at all. Instead it was her house cat Artemis in all his pure white glory.
The smile that had been on her lips faded away upon seeing him and she moved form her chair scooping him up and cradling him to her chest as she sighed softly. Some days she was sure that he was the only one who understood her, and that was odd for a cat. "Come to wish me luck Artemis?" It was odd seeing him here and that worried her. Just how had he gotten out of the apartment in the first place. She hoped that she hadn't left a window open or something. She however hadn't been expecting him to start talking back to her and when he did she dropped him, a surprise gasp escaping from her lips.
Minako-san. We haven't much time, I'm sorry I can't explain anything to you right now.
Watching with wide eyes as Artemis twisted around and landed on his feet, Minako wasn't sure if she was dreaming or this was really happening. He continued to stare at her, his green eyes holding her gaze well for a cat and she thought for a moment that maybe she had been dreaming until he spoke again. There was no way that this was a dream. Please Minako. The others need your help. They need Venus! His voice was so urgent that Minako could only nod. She had no idea just what he was talking about but something told her that it was important, and that it was something she should know.
Artemis seemed satisfied by her answer and when he met her gaze again, the crescent moon mark on his forehead was glowing a bright orange color. It shot out in a beam and struck her in the middle of the forehead and moments later the planetary symbol for Venus appeared. The light intensified and then disappeared moment afterward as Minako slumped forward for a moment. Worried that something had gone wrong, Artemis shuffled forward towards Minako's suddenly still form and pawed at her shoulder. Minako? Minako! The pawing roused the reborn senshi and slowly Minako sat up rubbing her head slightly.
"Artemis!" The recognition in her voice was enough for him and he merely nodded. It was good to have her back.
The wind blew slowy through Setsunas hair as she stood on the rooftop of her new appartment. In her hand, was her favorite photo of the other three outer sensi. Setsuna had decided it be best if she and Hotaru lived together, giving Michiru and Haruka some time alone. They really needed it, to become close, not only in their hearts, but souls aswell.
Setsuna walked down the stairs to the apartment, and smiled, seeing the young Hotaru asleep on the couch as the movie credits rolled on the tv screen. She walked over quietly and shut off the television before placing a warm blanket over the sleeping child. She kissed her forehead before walking into her small study and turning on her computer. Setsuna hardly slept anymore, always worried about the fate of the Earth, for she was only called here when something was about to happen.
She opened up a small note and started to type. "Hotaru is getting older by the days, and I feel at ease. She is able to grow slowly now, which must mean that Saturn is not needed anytime soon. I do feel something though, I am not sure what it is, but it pulls at my heart and in turn, i become restless and worried. I have not told any of the other scouts as if now, I do not want to worry them just yet. When the time comes, Hotaru will tell me what I need to know, then I will pass on the message to Haruka and Michiru. I do hope it is not soon though. I am getting use to a peaceful earth, and the young child I care for as my own." She jumped from her chair as she heard a loud crash come from Hotarus room.
Setsuna ran out, making sure that Hotaru was still on the couch, before slowly creeping her way to the bedroom door, and slowly pushing it open. She let out a gasp, seeing a shadow skulking around the room, lifting up the blankets to the bed and hissing loudly when Setsuna walked in.
"I shall ask you nicly, one once, to leave this home right now!" When the shadow refused to leave, Setusna pointed at it and glared. "PLUTO STAR POWER!" She called out as she transformed to Sailor Pluto. "I asked you once, to leave, and now that you refuse, you put the life of Hotaru in danger, this I cannot allow!" She pointed her key-staff at the shadow. "Dead...Scream..." She called out as she attacked the shadow, killing him instantly. Setsuna looked down as young Hotaru tugged on her skirt, transforming back as she knelt to hold the child. "Everything is ok now, Hotaru, but i think it best if you sleep with me tonight." She picked up the girl and walked to her bedroom, laying her down and covering her up, stroking her short hair until she was ceritan Hotaru was asleep. She crept out of the room and called Michiru and Harukas appartment.
"Hello? Michiru? Would you and Haraku mind staying over here tonight? Something was here looking for Hotaru, and I think we need to talk. I have had a bad feeling for some time now. Could you come over?" She waited for the yes, and hung up the phone. She knew that Michiru had the spare key to the appartment, so Setsuna went back to her room and lay beside the dreaming child, putting her arm around her to keep her close and safe.
"I will always protect you, Sailor Saturn. My Hotaru."
ACCEPTED! Awesome sample Mary. That's the best I've seen yet. Just remember in the acutal game yet, while Ruka and Michi have met and are living together, neither have awakened as scouts yet. They're just normal civilians.

{OOC: Five year old Hotaru writing will obviously differ until she's seventeen year old Hotaru.}
It was around nine in the morning. Hotaru stirred and gazed at the window ahead of her, studying the new arrival of dewdrops and fog covered glass. A little blue bird flickered by and Hotaru gave a quick, silent yawn. She slipped out of her lavender bed clothes and put on a simple, white laced dress. Walking to her little mirror, she took a quick glance at herself to see if she was appropriate looking, if there were any guests downstairs. Hotaru always thought ahead. She was more mature than most children her age and this always always made her feel different. But Setsuna-mama always reminded her that she was a perfect, beautiful child and that everyone felt different at times in their life. Hotaru took the silver brush from atop the table and combed out the knots and messy strands from her ebony hair. She smiled with triumph and walked downstairs.
Peeking through the door to the kitchen, she could see that Michiru and Haruka were at the dining table in the middle of some discussion. They were drinking some sort of coffee from their teacups. Deciding if it was impolite or not to enter, she heard them say something about a shadow from last night.
She remembered the sulking shadow from the living room. She was half-asleep when it happened, but distinctly remembered the emotions of doubt, sadness, and darkness when it came near her. Like it was trying to enter her dreams, and she had enough nightmares, ones that she couldn't quite explain. Everyday she hoped for dreams of rainbows, family, or friends. Maybe she wasn't trying hard enough. Rubbing her arms at the sudden coldness in the air, she opened the door.
"Hello Setsuna-mama, Haruka-chan, Michiru-chan," she said sweetly.
The trio greeted her and asked how she was. "Fine, thank you."
Setsuna came to her with a small glass of milk and asked if she would be okay with leaving them for five minutes as they talked about something in private. Hotaru nodded quickly as she was ushered to the living room couch for Saturday morning cartoons. Reaching for the remote and silencing the tv slowly, she heard Haruka yell suddenly.

BLACK LADY
She'd grown tired of waiting around in the other dimension. For as high as Wiseman held them up, the dark moon family were horrible unorganized and that twit, Rubeus Crimson was nothing but a scared little boy, hoping to use those under him as a way to suck up to the Prince and win a higher position up the latter. It was so funny, that it almost made her laugh. But if anything, Black Lady was bored waiting wasn't something she had the knack for and her patience was always on a short limb. So against the heeding of Wiseman himself, Black Lady had left the other dimension setting foot on the planet earth for the first time.
Knowing that the four sisters were off doing their own things, Black Lady was content to do her own thing. No one gave her a second look in her human disguise and she moved freely amongst the people of earth without them even knowing. The people of earth were always such gullible people, just as she'd been once upon a time. Her eyes narrowed her at her own thoughts and she found herself frowning her normally crimson colored eyes dropped to the ground for a moment and she clenched her hands in fury. She was nothing like this people know. She was better than them, and she had enough power to prove it.
CHIBI-USA
It was hard to imagine that the chaotic, panic stricken city before her, was the same city that had once been the peaceful city known as Crystal Tokyo. There was no resemblence of that peace anywhere on the streets tonight and that terrified the young princess immensely. She felt so long and unsure in this foreign city that resembled her home. Fifteen year old, Neo-Crown Princess Serenity, mostly known as Small Lady ran threw the streets of Crystal Tokyo as if her life depended on it. And considering what exactly she was carrying, her survival really did depend on how fast she could move.
In a stupid effort to become a real lady like her mother Neo Queen Serenity, small lady had removed the silver crystal from it 's resting place admiring its beautiful surface and the power that radiated from it. Everything would have been find and gone smoothly, had Crystal Tokyo not going under seige at the same moment small lady had picked up the crystal and she'd been convinced that by removing the crystal she'd caused the attack. Not knowing what else to do, she feld from the scene of the crime taking the crystal with her as she figured she was in too much trouble as it were and that leaving it behind would be foolish. Panicking she merely held onto the crystal as she feld the palace.
Having been running around like mad, Chibi-usa hadn't realized that by this point her mother had realized that the crystal was missing and feared the worst. That the dark moon family had captured both the crystal and her daughter. Determined to find her, Neo-Queen Serenity left the safety of the Crystal Palace and Small Lady watched in horror as her mother was attacked by Emerald. An agent of the Dark Moon clan intent on destorying Crystal Tokyo. Scared out of her mind, small lady thought of the one person who could possibly fight off these villians. The super suited soilder, the chamion of love and justice; Sailor Moon. A legend told by her father as a bedtime story, small lady was convinced that if she could find Sailor Moon, she could save her mother who had been encased in protective crystal by her senshi guardian to protect her.
Wishing upon the crystal, Small Lady suddenly found herself standing in front of the doorway to Time and Space. The gate was guarded by the mysterious Sailor Senshi, Sailor Pluto a friend of hers. Knowing that Pluto would help her, Small Lady relayed her plan to Puu and in returned Sailor Pluto gave Chibi-usa a space key. One that would allow her to travel back through time, to a time when Sailor Moon still fought against the forces of evil.

As much as he loved Minako' sidol status and how much fun she was having with it, being able to travel all throughout the world meetings thousands of people who very well may have given their left arm to be right there, Artemis worried. He'd lost her twice now and that was more than enough for him. Words couldn't begin to express how happy he'd been to find that Usagi had allowed the Silver Crystal to vanish after she'd used it to restore the world to what it had been before.
To see Minako alive again was probably the only thing Artemis had truly wanted but then reality set in and he remembered that due to the healing powers of the silver crystal that none of them would remember thier lives as Senshi. But he always wondered, had the memory of her tumor of dying. Had that vanished too? Being an ordinary cat wasn't easy, not for a shapeshifter like them but Artemis managed. He had to. A lifetime with Minako has a normal cat was better than leaving her alone.
He couldn't do that to his Minako.
But he wished that there was a way to know about the tumor for sure. Not knowing when there was a possibility that this time around she might acutally take some advice if she knew about it as she had no past life to pressure herself into doing all those rash actions again, Artemis just wondered. And worried, perhaps a little too much.

When she looked around, the thought that it was more than she ever wished for crossed her mind. People were laughing, crying, talking and generally being at ease with their lives. She sunk in the comfort of being anonymous in the crowd of other live beings. Of not being made to fight, to be constantly alert, to kill… She felt almost forgiven; it’s like the pollution in the air around her left, leaving no traces behind. Like it never existed.
It’s amazing that she actually forgot how nice it is to take a deep, cold breath and just enjoy it. She got pulled out of her deep thoughts when someone bumped into her, mumbling apology without even looking back. The fear that overcame her with the sudden touch – just for a second, but it was there – quickly passed away. She was safe here, she thought. it did not happen yet, and there was still time for her to make a choice.
This time the right one.
[[I hope it's the right way to do it, and also that it's not too short]]
