it is good to have some knowledge of the sailor moon saga, mostly either the magna or the actual PGSM series, though it's not necessary. we're more than happy to fill in any blanks.

With the fate and pressure of the past life no longer hanging on their shoulders, Tsukino Usagi and her Friends returned to living their lives as normal.
Princess Serenity’s gift was to use the true power of the silver crystal to restore the planet to its former glory, giving everyone who made planet earth their home a second chance at life. This however had a cost and as payment the Ginzuisho was shattered and the Princess’s consciousness with it. This allowed Usagi to continue on as a normal girl, without fear of something awakening the princess and having her take over again. Over the following couple months Usagi and the rest of the girls remember each other and how much fun they’d had as Senshi, while they did miss the old lifestyle, being normal teenagers wasn’t so bad. It was a well deserved reward for them.
However the peace that was currently surrounding earth and it’s former senshi wasn’t about to last long. A threat that was approaching the earth was unlike anything, they’d ever seen.
The Black Moon Kingdom, scorned by Neo-King Endymion and his wife Neo-Queen Serenity the leader of Crystal Tokyo in the 30th century, sought out to destroy the foundation of Crystal Tokyo, using the King and Queen's own daughter Princess Serenity otherwise known as Small Lady. Darkening the young Princess’s heart and turning her own fears and worries against her, Wiseman the master mind behind the entire movement of the Black Moon Clan turned innocent Small Lady into the wicked, sarcastic and hateful Black Lady; A warrior for the Black Moon Clan.
Black Lady attacked the King and Queen, almost succeeded in killing her mother and mortally injuring her father before being stuck back by her mother’s guardians. Neo-Queen Serenity was saved and placed in protective quartz crystal until the battle could be finished. Seeing as the members of the White Mon Clan still had the upper hand, Wiseman moved his efforts into the past. Taking up post in 21st century, he intends on weakening the defences of Crystal Tokyo by taking out the Crystal points and making sure that Crystal Tokyo will never exist.
Witnessing the future spinning wildly out of control, Setsuna did the unthinkable. She broke almost all her Taboo's and left the gate of space and time. Returning herself to the 21th century, Setsuna hopes to stop the Dark Moon Kingdom and put the timeline back in place by using the Ginzuisho from the 30th century to return to the Senshi of this time their powers. In addition she calls forth Eternal Sailor Neptune and Eternal Sailor Uranus from Crystal Tokyo to help save their future.
And unexpected surprise however was the appearance of the Sailor Quartet. Sailor Chibi-Moon’s Guardian senshi from Crystal Tokyo who witnessed Chbi-usa’s transformation into Black Lady. They’re sole purpose is to unlock Chibi-usa’s heart and put the young Princess back onto the right path before the future is destroyed for good.
