Spending time with Jacob, Ancient Art, drawing, listening to and writing music, Ancient Greek language, history, Egypt, watching movies and TV, playing video games, planning weddings, dancing, writing poetry for the Creative Writing club, all kinds of stuff!
Seeing as how I think art and such is important, here are some more of my favs:
Architecture: L’Opera de Garnier in Paris, or the Temple at Karnak (Egypt)
Sculpture: Bound Slaves series by Michelangelo (they are along the walkway that you stand in line in to wait and see David, but they are so much more interesting), or the Seated Buddha from Sarnath (it relaxes me even though I’m not Buddhist)
Painting: Venus of Urbino by Titian (Tiziano)- absolutely gorgeous and artistically revolutionary in so many ways; Georges de la Tour, Caravaggio, Cezanne, and Delacroix, Ed Hopper, Red Grooms, Vermeer and many more
Drawing or etching: Rembrandt’s portraits, Degas’ ballerinas, Toulouse-Lautrec‘s “La Ghoule” |
