Hello and welcome to
oh you pretty things
This site is based on the story of two opposing groups of mutants, neither good, neither bad but both strongly disagree with each others message
each group has a base in and around London and each is recruiting heavily for the upcoming inevitable war. Which group will throw the first punch? Which group will you join forces with? Only time will tell...
Here are the handy links to the stuff you will need to get going. Be sure to read all of the important stuff before registering because there are things you will need to know before you are approved!

oh you pretty things
nickname: rob age: 34 height: 5’10 build: very average, could maybe afford to lose a few pounds but he looks healthy appearance: "Ok, so the first thing I should probably start with, because it seems to be the first thing everyone else notices, is my hair. It is ginger, not strawberry blonde or 'deep flame red' or 'terracotta' or any other dulux colour...it's just ginger. On the odd occasion I have played with bleaching it and stuff but not so much anymore. That was just a young naive phase really. Another thing to note about it is that not only do I wear it short but it is strarting to recede a bit, I know lucky me right? I'm growing old gracefully damn it! It is sort of receding back at 2 sides and it's leaving a bit in the middle...like a hair island almost. It can be seen quite messy and spiked up-ish but this happens all of it's own accord. I don't seem to have any say in the matter whatsoever.
Ok...next I guess could be my eyes. Theyare a dark sort of blue-ish grey, pretty vague right? Well yeah, that is their colour anyway. Theyare kinda sunken into my head, not in a beady eye sort of way, I don't have bug eyes or look like a kiddy fiddling model train collector or anything. I have little puffy bits under my eyes, I guess cause I'm getting old or because I spent far too long playing lego star wars on the xbox, or the metal gear solid games on the playstation. Either way, my eyes have clearly seen better days and now look as old asd they are. Well, I'm not old really, when I get my pension book and zimmer then maybe I will beover the hill and old but right now...well, 34 ain't that old really is it?
My nose is small...well not small it is more average really but it is boring to describe myself as average. The top of my nose is often graced with the knot of my brow in deep thought (I think deep quite a lot really...with superhuman intelligence it was always going to happen right?) My lips are kinda...well, thin-ish. You can see lips there though, I'm not sayong I'm one of those people with no visable lips and all you see is teeth, a mouthful of teeth. It is a mouth that smiles and laughs a lot, something which looks quite natural on my, like I was built to smile. Thankfully this was accompanied with a sense of humour to allow constanct smiling but we will get to that later.
My face is quite heart shaped, my chin is quite rounded...I don't have one of those prominent manly chins. Dunno if thats a good thing or a bad thing but I'm pleased with it. I swear blind one of my ears is noticably bigger than the other. Not like...you know comically so or anything, but I notice it. Thankfully people don't seem to nitce it though which is a good thing. So I think my facial features are pretty much covered now huh?
My skin is pale, it would be sort of strange having someone quite tanned who is ginger really. Plus living in Leeds...it's hardly jamaica is it? So yeah, pale skin, no freckles or anything. I'm a pretty average build really, I could lose some weight but I'm not fat or stick thin. It fluctuates anyway, sometimes I'm a lot more active than normal and I look all healthy and fresh, other times I sit indoors reading or playing games or teaching and I just eat rubbish and then I look pale, drained and a bit unhealthy looking. I normally can be seen with some sort of facial hair arrangment, not a beard, although it would be kinda cool huh? Like maybe to have it for a day to know what its like then shave it off. Anyways, its a scruffy unkept goatee kind of thing I normally have.
As far as clothes go I'm pretty casual really. When teaching I will wear a casual looking suit jacket/blazer style thing to look smart. Jeans or chords are the norm really, t-shirts, zipped hoddies...you know the deal. I can scrub up well though and I look quite smart in a suit. When doing work for the Ernidamus outside of the building I like to look quite presentable but still quite approachable. "Smart Casual" I have heard it called...not that I'm too in the know about what things are called when it comes to fashion!

you gotta make way for the homo superior
hometown: leeds job: works for the erindamus group: erindamus! power: superhuman intelligence, memory manipulation, omni linguism power description: So, he has three powers two of which became prominent first as they were very apparant. None of them are inherited powers directly (from parents) but his father had omni linguism too.
The super human intelligence. Well, with this it basically meants that he not only knows things he doesnt have to learn but it also means he understands things a lot of people can't, he learns things very quickly and he holds a lot of things in there at the same time. Kind of like the 'wise men' in some cultures or the oracles. He just....well he knows stuff. At 12 he knew a lot of things about molecular biology and astro physics and other such things. Knew when subjects were being over simplified for people and often corrected the people teaching. Of course, having grown up in the Erindamus everyone around him knew he was going to be a mutant and knew how to develop it. He went to normal schools till he was 11 but then they knew they would need to take his education into their own hands and knew that it was just going to be the powers they would need to teach him about. Allother subjects, well, he seemed to have covered himself.
Omni linguism was another one. His powers didn't come to light until he was out of human education so nobody got to know this special little gift other than the people in the Erindamus who understood his power. Basically with this one he slowly started knowing another language. At first it was just one ofr two he started just knowing how to talk. As he got older and was doing the skills development for powers he started being able to speak more and more. Coupled with superhuman intelligence this power has been sculpted and crafted into perfection really. He can now speak 49 languages and it is still growing. It has made him one of the perfect candidates for going to recruit international mutants, being as how he knows their languages.
The memoy manipulation is one he doesn't really use that much. It seems much more of an offensive power really and he is far too passive and gentle by nature to use it in a way to manipulate other people. He is however, capable of erasing memories from peoples minds. This is the bit he doesn't like. It seems quite invasive and horrible to to that to someone, memories are private. One side of it that is good though is that he can enhance memories in people. So when people have forgotten something, be it short term or long term, and he can enhance their memories to make them remember that which was forgotten. He normally just uses this power when itis requested that he do so.
view on mutant rights: Rob believes that for all that mutants are incredible things and shouldn't be ashamed of themselves at all, that they deserve somewhere thats safe from any sort of prejudice. He knows that humans find it quite difficult to deal with things that are different on they are unsure of (look at how they treat each other with respect to ethnicity and religion?!?) and so the best thing is to keep it from them so that they don't get the chance to bring any harm to people for being mutants. He knows that some people are happy enough living amoung humans and for them he is perfectly happy but of course the Erindamus does a wonderful job of teaching people about their powers and how to excel, something he himself likes to help with.

He likes laughter and happiness and people enjoying themselves. He also often likes being the one causing these positive effects. He is always cracking jokes and loves hearing the laughter he has caused, it is like nectar for him. It isn't the attention that he wants, it's not like he is seeking it, for him it is purely about causing laughter. He knows how wonderful laughter feels and so he wants others to feel it too. He is very intelligent (all down to his powers of course) and as well as facts and figures he is also very socially intelligent and understands people and how interactions work. This comes down to more understanding rather than intelligence though. He has been given a very gentle, kind and undertsanding nature by his parents who always brought him up to be that way with others.
He is a bit of a geek....well a lot of a geek really. He doesn't like pain and he doesn't like very awkward situations...tending to just freeze up in them. He has always been a little self conscious, possibly because of being taken the mick out of because of his hair colour. He is, though, one of those people who just jokes his way out of feeling a bit self conscious. A great nurturer and being understanding and very clever he has made very good teacher material. He manages to reach out to a lot of the students and seems to make them interested in learning. As well as basic learning such as the sciences and some of the arts, he is also the main person in the building who teaches mental power development. So, people with powers that do not affect their physical bodies, or those who have energy/elemental powers he is the one teaching them. Psychics, telepaths, empaths etc, he helps them develop their skills.
His sense of humour means that often he doesnot take things very seriously. He also uses humour to get out of things and uses it as a tool to get over negative emotions. The sort to make inappropriate jokes at funerals. This isn't really a good thing. He also spends far too long reading and playing computer games for his own good, making him stay indoors far too long than is healthy. His physical fitness isn't all that great and as he is heading into his fourties so he is running out of time to fix things with his health and fitness.
written in pain, written in awe
history: So, for an erindamus member Rob has quite a rare background. His parents were both erindamus members and lived on campus. His father's family had been with the group for the last 4 generations and his mother had been brought to the erindamus at age 15. His fathers side have always been quite prominent in the missions of the erindamus, a sort of mini institute really. There had always been a Williams going about the place. His grandfather had been a telepathic mind control artist, his brother had been born and raised within the erindamus but had chose to move away to Germany to live a normal life. They agreed with the work of the Erindamus and always said that if the group needed help they would be happy to do so but they just wanted to live normally for the most part.
So his father (Mark) was born in the erindamus and raised amoung mutants. He knew what he was and couldn't wait for the day his powers came into action. So, when a young man of 19 he met ayoung female mutant named Rachael. They started dating and before long it was blossoming into a long term relationship. Engagement was the next thing, followed by a wedding, followed by the arrival of a little bundle of joy in the form of Robert, named after his grandfather. They were given a small area in the campus which had his parents room with a small room attached to their own for Robert to live in. It was a happy start to life because there were a lot of people in the Erindamus and he was one of a very small number of very young kids there. So as a toddler he was doted on by most people there, which of course, he loved.
As far as school went he was put to a normal school outside of the erindamus so that he could get a well rounded education and be amoungst kids his own age. Although he was a mutant he didn't have powers yet so there was nothing stopping him being a normal kid. He thrived in school and it allowed him to develop his personality quite a bit. He came out of his shell fully, developed his sense of humour and loved spending time with friends. He also liked spending time with people in the erindamus, playing games with people and attendng a couple of private night classes to teach him about what mutants are and what the erindamus was. When he was 9 his parents had another child, a daughter, and Rob was pretty happy. He had always wanted a younger sibling.
Once he reached 11 his parents and the officials at the erindamus were aware his powers could come into play any time soon and so it was decided that his education be taken into the hands of the erindamus instead of public schools. By age 12 his powers started coming to light and it seemed the erindamus wasn't going to have to give him any sort of serious education training other than his powers because in a lot of areas it seemed he knew more than the people teaching did. He would correct them and tell themwhen they were over simplifying things. So it was confirmed he had what was known as superhuman intelligence. Although it had been assumed as part of this power, his sudden knowledge of other languages was soon confirmed as it's own power, omnilinguism. So, much development went into getting these powers controlled and eventually his third power, memory manipulation was found.
As he grew older his powers grew stronger and he was training as best he could to control them, in amoungst playing computer games and having fun with the other teenage students (such as Donovan Murry....). As he reached his twenties Robert had his own role in the Erindamus as the resident funny man. He was doing more recruitment work for them and was working in a games store (the perfect job for him...games consoles for the whole day!). Eventually, when 24 he was asked if he would like to work for the ernidamus full time. He said yes, of course, he wanted to help the way his parents had and his grandparents had. It was inevitable for him really. So he went into teaching, something which he still does now. At first it was just teaching sciences and other things to general students and younger mutants and when he reacher 29 he was asked to take on the role of mental powers tutor. So he teaches the kids who have powers connected to their mind how to develop and control their abilities. He still teaches the sciences from time to time but his main goal is power development.

Ahhh, streets of rage. Rob couldn't help it, nor deny the fact that he was a big dork. A gaming one to be exact. He loved all the consoles, had them all in fact. A collection he had been building since he was a young kid. There was a special storage area his family had been given in the Erindamus and it was still being used to this day....for all his games and consoles. Right now he had the mega drive out and was playing one of his favourites of that particular group, streets of rage. It was sort of middle school rather than old school. It was still very basic, kick kick punch, kick, special move sort of game and when you kicked over the phone boxes you got a whole cooked chicken that gave you some health back. He loved that sort of stuff...for a man who dealt with logic for a lot of his day he really could handle illogical things in games and movies pretty well.
The younger folks in the Erindamus had seemed to come to know about his mad collection of games and machines and so they often came down to either play with him or borrow them to play in the common room. Either way he didn't mind, he had always liked spending time with them. He was just one of those friendly guys. The uncle you liked or the teacher you would go and talk to about things other than school, all that sorts of things. Right now though he was on his own. Shame really, the game was quite fun with 2 players. What always amused him was how people would say that computer games were for mindless people who didn't want to think. Someone with a brain like Rob's though...well it just made him laugh. If anything, the fact that he could do something that wasn't taking his mind a million ways of thinking about it was a good thing. Sometimes the overthought put into everything could be tiring.
He completed another boss and then cracked his fingers. They were sore now, maybe he should take a break. Standing up he headed out of his room, closed the door and then walked down the flights of stairs to get to the canteen. He quite fancied a bit of toast with jam on it, that was always a good mid-game treat for him. Once he got to the entrance to the kitchens he yawned and gave his head a scratch. Now, to make his little treat and perhaps have a good old cup of tea with it. Nothing ever hit the spot quite like a cup of tea. It was terribly British to think so but really....tea solved everything. Surely wars could be solved with sitting down and having a good cuppa. Still, that was never likely to happen but the Brits still seemed adamant that it was the ice breaker, heart mender and consoler to everything. The place was pretty quite, he had half expected to bump into someone on the way...it was a big building after all, full of people.
