application.- NMTB has no application process, so register (in lowercase please) and start playing.
- If you register an account and don't post within two weeks, your account may be deleted without warning.
character. creation.- Please keep your character within the bounds of realism. If in doubt, talk to an admin.
- You may have as many characters as you want.
- Any creatures/powers/things that are in the Potter universe are allowed, even giants/goblins/banshees (have fun finding a reason that they are at hogwarts! =)) etc.
out. of. character.- The admins have the final say in all matters.
- No drama. If you have a problem with someone please either take it up with them privately or contact an admin.
- Proper-ish English. No chat-speak, text language or leet.
roleplaying.- There's no minimum post length here. Please write the most you are up to every time.
- Spelling and grammar are not as important as creativity in writing, but for the sake of others and your own learning, please try to proof-read posts and have as few mistakes as possible.
- This site is PG-13. There will be no sex. Before and after is ok, but if anyone wants to remove clothing in a sexual way, keep it in your head or IM the other person.
- Don't be overly violent. Graphic violence is not necessary to convey a situation.
- Don't metagame (use OOC knowledge IC).
- Powerplaying (controlling others' characters) is allowed on a consentual basis. If you are writing with someone and want to do an action that would be construed as powerplay, please ask them first.
canon.- We have canon characters here and anyone is free to play them if they wish. Canon character do not need to be played according to canon, though most members would appreciate if you kept some resemblance to the original canon.
images.- Don't have any nudity in signatures. They can be what size you choose, as long as it doesn't stretch the board or look ridiculously high.
- Don't use pictures directly from other sites. If you use a picture from a website, put it onto a hosting site like Photobucket or Tinypic.
- An avatar or signature would be appreciated but isn't required. You can use any medium (photos, comic pictures, manga) to represent them.
cbox.- Don't spam.
- Don't fight.
- Don't advertise.
- Do not post links to anything that is above PG-13. That means nothing too violent and definitely no sex. This is pictures or writing.
activity.- There may or may not be sporadic activity checks.
- If you're leaving, please tell people in the leaving thread.
- If you are not active for two weeks without warning you will be sent emails. If they aren't answered in two weeks your character will be deleted (any bios will be saved).
