The following is what is required for your character to be allowed into play at Lands of Myth and Magic. Feel free to include more but less will not be allowed. Please note the *ed fields at the bottom are only required if they apply to your character. Obviously if you have no pets leave that out. You do not have to post your bio in this specific format with these specific headings (or any headings) or in any particular order, all I ask is that you include all the information I’m asking for in one way or another. Post your bio in the section you wish them to belong to: IE Norse bios go in the Norse section.
Name: List your character’s name here. Full name if they have one. If your character operates under an alias you may either list both their true name AND their alias, or you may simply list the alias, just make sure you indicate that it is, indeed, an alias.
Age: Your character’s age or the age that they appear to be. If your character looks much older or younger than they truly are you can either list both the apparent age and the true age or simply indicate that their age is drastically different from their appearance.
Gender:
Race: If you are playing a Section Specific race (IE: a Nordic Troll), please list the race and then the Game Section it comes from. This will indicate to the GM which base you’re using for your character. Troll (Norse) will suffice in place of a detailed racial description.
Physical Description: Though there aren’t specific requirements for this section you should try to be as detailed as possible. The more description you give to your character the easier it will be for others to picture them and the more real they will become. If you wish, you may post a picture in place of a written description.
Personality: Just a general overview of the way your character usually acts.
Weapons/Equipment:
Special Items: This is for any magical or otherwise special items. A special item can be as simple as a wooden necklace handed down through the generations. If an item does have magical properties you should make mention of them. The same rules apply to magic items as to abilities.
Skills: Non-magical skills raging from cooking to master swordsmanship. You should try to give a general overview of the skills your character possesses, if you use a skill very similar to one you have listed but not *exactly* the same I don’t have any problem with that. Just try to keep it within reason. Chopping wood in half with your hands is not the same as chopping a tree in half with your hands.
Abilities: Magical and/or supernatural abilities; anything outside of normal human possibility. Again, please try to give a general overview, the same rules as for Skills applies, I don’t mind if you don’t list absolutely every spell. Being able to create small ice shards and freeze small bodies of water is similar enough that the first implies the second, setting an entire forest on fire when you have listed your character can start camp fires is a bit beyond the realm of reason.
History: The length and detail of your character’s history should depend on their age, skill and fame/accomplishments. Please don’t submit a 500 year old character with four lines of history. However, if for any reason you don’t wish your character’s history to be posted on the public board (you want it to come out through game play ect), simply contact the GM in charge of your game section and arrange for them to see the history without it being posted on the main board.
*Racial Description: If applicable. You only need to fill out this section if you are playing a race that is not listed as one of the special races for any given section (in other words, one of your own creation). If you are playing a character already described in the reference for the section you are playing in simply list the race name and section it comes from in the Race heading, that will suffice for description.
*Pets/Familiar: If applicable.
