Queen Nepherteri VII: A young and stunningly beautiful woman, Nepherteri VII is the current Pharaoh of all Egyptia. She came into power three years ago when she was able to uncover her husband’s vile murder of her father. He and his family were exiled or put to death and she has since ruled the empire alone. Nepherteri VII has proven herself time and again as a more than able ruler and the empire flourishes under her rule. An excellent player in the game of politics, young Nepherteri is quite good at getting what she wants or what she claims the country needs. She is still beloved by her people. However underneath all her success there lurks a darkness in the young queen, an unhealthy obsession and thirst for power.
High Priestess Rtastha: Although the High Priestess of the Isis Temple in Thekmara, Rtastha, appears to be a young woman she is in fact much older than she appears, some say she is into her third life time although her exact age is unknown to most. A motherly figure, Rtastha often heals the sick and offers advice and aid to those in need who are faithful to her goddess. Although there is a warm side to her she seems for the most part an untouchable woman, cold, aloof and distant. Not only is she hailed as the chosen of the goddess Isis and leader of the head temple of Isis she is also the head instructor at the magical academy located inside the temple. She is a very good teacher and a very powerful sorceress, one that it would be a very bad idea to cross. She also serves as an advisor to the Pharaoh.
High Priest Ujetitm: The High Priest of Osiris is a gaunt, withered old man. He is a serious, cold and severe man with absolutely no sense of humor at all. Primed for his position since he was a young child he is wise in the way of Osiris and has considerable power over the dead. Despite the fact that he serves as an advisor to the Pharaoh at times he has turned the church of Osiris in on it’s self, slowly leading it away from the petty politics of the Empire and into something that better suits his purposes. No one is quite sure what those purposes might be.
Zelil: A gentle, kind, grandfatherly old man, Zelil is the owner and bar keep of The Scroll and Wineskin Tavern and Inn in Samuut. Zelil is very popular in his section of the city and he is a kind and generous host, humble despite the fact that his establishment is one of the most famous in the empire. The only times Zelil is not kind and gentle is when a patron causes trouble in his tavern or inn, then he is quick to defend it and be rid of the trouble makers.
