1/2" lines are not as fast as 3/4" lines (crossectional area of lines internals x velocity of fluid passin through = discharge. larger crossectional area allows for faster fluid discharge, as a matter of fact 3/4" lines supposed to be able to carry more than twice that of 1/2").
if you can get the 3/4" lines you good to go (esp if is to jump up & down real high in dem car shows), if is just for weekend bling well the 1/2" should suit you.

what kind of car btw? I know someone who importing a set of airbags for cars, bolt for bolt kits for cars like civics & almeras to name a few.
