the ID's are more SQ type subs
they don't handle more than their rated power very well and are not well suited for gallery type bass.

They are more low bass speakers like RE but much more sensitive.

for river/beach applications i would recommend a more rugged subwoofer capable of handling the playing conditions and program material.
the MTX lines are very good. you should check them out

havent used any ID subs as yet but from d specs i have to agree with riad in saying thats NOT what u shud be using for gallery ...look at brands like atomic \ dd \ mtx \ mmats .... even pioneer would be good for that purpose ...

I know i may be contradicting myself but those brands u all quote jus not musical to my ears..an if they are its at a low output....they jus take ah shitload of power an get loud..

D reason i ask is...i heard some IDQ's not the IDmax..it was low..an heavy...musical an bass notes smooth..kinda took ah liking to them...
so although my system maybe compared for gallery..i still want to maintain some quality...

Not have ah loud sub sounding like it ah plastic bucket..u get meh drift nah...

^^^6 10'' in the corrolla?

Go with the IDQ man, Ive seen them used as you want to, stick to RMS power and they will like it.. This for the van?

Alternatives can be oz matrix and t3 ts, two subs I think that can live up to the "low and loud" scene

amm....ghost the subs listed can get pretty loud and low also in the proper enclosures.

i'm currently using 2 MTX 7500 10's and the response is amazing and they are very efficient on small power.

you can also look into the RF lines and the RE lines

i still don't recommend the ID's for river/beach liming unless you're prepared to change the kits on a regular basis

you need to hear those idq's... I actually think they might hold notes better than the 7500..

And seriously is not like everyweekend these guys are gonna be at the beach, most of the time the system Im sure is gonna be played at low volumes. And trust me when I say ghost has been through some RE's..
