There's always a need for another site. The more Mando'ad sites out there, the better the chance long lost vode will run into it.

I will explain my reasoning. We have a pretty small active group as is. If we spread ourselves too thin things will begin to fall apart. We could easily build a forum into this one which will cover the same purpose. I think If someone was really looking for a mando community it would not be difficult to find us.

Let me ask you, what purpose would another site serve other than just being another site. We should be trying to unite together not seperating.

P.S. We already have a Mandalorian protector site by the by. It is the MVA site set up a while back. I guess I didn't serve to bring in much traffic.

Still working on the codex.. I want it to be really good. .. Other sites are good because I tried over 100 word combonations before I found the main page, and the forum never came up. The more sites you have out there, the more possible word combinations you can get in a search to lead to here. .. The MVA site is not a representation of the Journeyman Protectors, and seeing as we've not been founded and have not done theh documentation for it yet, there are not Aliite in the Protectors,.. only aliite with protectors in the name of the aliit. As such, I believe we should wait before putting this site into action, because of the fact that it has not been founded yet.

Jor'. For the Mandalorian Protectors. We can use the supercommando codex created by Jaster Mereel. It forbids a mandalorian to act barbarically. But there's one trick to it. On duty, a mando, following the codex, must wear the :white: classic Mandalorian armor:jodo:
So what do you think?

*disclaimer: I'm gonna be mean.

Is it really necessary to worry about this, I was hoping you might have taken some of brok's words to heart. We are not super soldiers. We are not super heroes. We do not run through the fields of naboo slaying our enemies.

We do not need an official army because we are not and will never be threatened in a military fashion. Have you served in the military? Have you been shot at in a combat situation? Have you ever killed a man? Very few people on this board have. We are not militants.

You might be wondering why I do not rip on Jor about this. It is because he uses sparring, training and drills as a form of bonding and self improvement for his aliit. That is respectable.

You should be worrying about forming bonds with other members before calling them vod. And certainly before becoming their "protector".

I have to comment here: (threw numbers next to Dajin'ika's points to correspond to my comments. Sorry for any typos.) :P

1. Not mean, just being a realist. Like me. :D

2. Not at this time. Brokar speaks wisdom, (a warrior's trait, kid. Only comes with time & development). Sometimes I WISH I were a super hero. LOL.

3. A. I will refrain from "Obama" comments, and B. I will NOT go here for numerous reasons.

4. Does he? That's very cool. Training is good!!!!! :jango:

5. Agreed. Tho being "on fire" and enthusiastic are good, so is having the ability to temper then channel that fire-y (sp) enthusiasm into the community where it will do the best FOR the community. We all have had to get to know one another. I'm still a n00b when I look at the number of years these peeps have been posting on this board. Maybe in 2 years, I can be an admin or something. Time & patience, ad'ika. Time & patience.

That's my 10 cents worth.

Yeah, we do Krav maga, MMA, and No Holds Barred Fighting, as well as uneven sided matches.

The Protectors are for a company side of things. Yes Kalira, several of my vode in the aliit, and I'm trying to recruit Tal, are hoping to start a private security company. The "codex" is going to basically be a contract and job description.

I'm throwing in my lot with Daj on this too. Did my page and a half post go right in one ear and straight out the other? But I really don't have anything else to add that hasn't already been said, and I've got a headache so I don't want to think about it.

I need to find out what the state of Tenn. requires for starting a security co. Georgia requires quite a bit and starting a company in Chattanooga is a little over kill due to there being around 30 security agencies in this area alone. The competition is fierce here that agencies here take contracts at low bids and the guards wind up being hired in at low wages.

I'll check with the Tn. Secretary of state's office Tuesday 9-22-09 and get a package sent. My idea is to go outside of this area and get things rolling, somewhere you can throw a rock without it hitting competition. Most states (may be federal) require a 20,000 surety bond and 2 years minimum employment with a licensed agency before you can start your own co. I'm a little over halfway there, and registered as a Sergeant with for the company that I currently work for, 10 years working with individuals with mental disabilities at my last job and being a supervisor at both will go great towards getting that approval and I have a Squeaky clean record.

I'll get with you Tuesday Jor'.

Brok, the reason we are so set on creating a security company here, is because it is so bad. Our Sheriffs and Constables use the good-ole-boy system, and get nothing done. To top it off, the bloods and the crypts have started moving in to the area. This is going to be a job for my aliit. I honestly don't expect anyone else to ever actually do something like this unless they've already done something similar or served in the military.

I feel morally obligated to cut in with a "head, clouds, feet != ground, etc."

Good thing Laam isn't here, actually, he'd have a minor heart attack at this idea.

No, we should call it the "wouldn't it be nice if people knew how to find reality themselves so someone doesn't have to go around and give people a damn map" disclaimer.
