    Well this is a school after all, so of course you'll be taking some classes. Now, whether you go to them or not is the real question here, but if you do, you might want to know who else is in there. Maybe you can find a lab partner for that terrible Potions exam!

    It is required that all students sign up for all classes relating to their year. If you are a first year, you will only be taking the core classes. If a third year you will choose two extra classes from the "optional." list and then you can drop one your fourth year and one your fifth, though you may continue to take them both, it is up to you. Sixth and seventh year students will choose their NEWT classes and should stick with them through their NEWT exams. Be sure to pick classes that will fit your desired career!
