how do you feel about the new regime? He’s pretty outraged about the restrictions and ID that are being implemented. Yeah, sure, it sucks that all that stuff has happened to the government, but there’s no reason to get crazy. He’s studied Muggle wars, and has found that many times it has been caused by segregation. IDs are just a form of segregation.

physical description:
Diarmid, by some strange coincidence, looks every bit the sports player. He has a lean, athletic body, and strong bone structure. Though he is tall (6'1", 183 lbs), he is not lanky, and is quite graceful--a far cry from his sister, he has quick reflexes and short reaction time. He has good stamina and eats right, and rarely gets sick.

He has short, dark brown hair that is so thick and wiry that it usually stands up in the front on it's own. He doesn't mind, it saves him time styling his hair if he can just run his hand through it to give it the same look that may be achieved with a nice sticky spell. He has dark blue eyes, though if one doesn't look up close at them it is hard to tell if they are blue or dark brown. He has slightly tanned skin as a result from his mixed heritage, but you can still see a splash of freckles cross the bridge of his nose and his cheeks. Diarmid has sharp features; high cheekbones, pointed nose with a slight bump on the bridge, a thin chin, and firm jaw. He doesn't have many scars, save for one that goes down his cheek that he got one time when he was horsing around with some friends on their brooms, and it resulted in a nasty little accident.

Diarmid's feet, unlike many people, point straight rather than slightly in or out. He has never broken a bone, and is incredibly proud of it. He is known to be an amazing dancer, although it isn't something he likes to do too often. He walks at a very fast pace, and hates walking with people if they can't keep up. He has the slightest of swaggers to his walk, but it is not very exaggerated. He has good posture, and is rarely seen sitting, standing, or lying in a position that is not good for his joints or back.

He has fairly nice teeth, but when he was younger he had a snaggle tooth. He habitually grinds his teeth, so they are slowly being eroded. He has a small smile, and shows just the tips of his teeth when he does smile. He supposes he could just get them fixed, but he really doesn't think he'll bother about it until it actually gets bad.

personality description:

People often think that he’s an asshole when they first meet him, but that’s because he doesn’t rein in his thoughts. He often says them as they come to mind, or is the complete opposite and says nothing at all. He can be very charming when it suits him, and flirtatious when he doesn’t mean it. He’s been known to break a few hearts, but he’s really not the type of guy that really looks for relationships. He likes girls, and he likes being with them, he just hates all drama and believes that engaging in a relationship is just asking for unwanted drama. He’s the type of guy that doesn’t call you for a week and then when you see him, acts like nothing happened. Let’s just say his cheek has seen many a palm in his time.

Now that he’s graduated from Hogwarts he hasn’t changed much, but is rather glad to be rid of the large concentrated population of Hogwarts and being forced to share his solitude with others. He likes having a place to go where he can be alone, and so while at school he would occasionally sneak just past the edge into the Forbidden Forest. He can be very sneaky, and luckily was never caught, but he also never ventured before the first line of trees. This was only when his normal hiding spot was occupied. He usually sought refuge in an unused classroom high in one of the towers.

Often Diarmid would wish he had been placed in Ravenclaw, simply because they seemed to be a group of people dedicated to solitude and studies, and although he wasn't too psyched on the studying bit, he did like his solitude.

Diarmid has odd quirks about him, and is rather habitual. He doesn't like change much, but he can adapt quickly when it is necessary to do so. Although he is easily irritable and quick to anger, he is also quick to forgive, and it doesn't take too much to get back into his good graces. Three strikes and you're out, however, and if you wrong him greatly you may not find yourself in a happy situation. He can be surprisingly deviant and sly, working for his own means to an end. He is incredibly hypocritical, and feels that he should be given a get-out-of-jail-free card anytime he wants.

Diarmid is incredibly proud, and though he hides it, is quite sensitive to attacks on his person. He doesn't care about what people say about his likes or dislikes, but when they insult his personality or character, he tends to fume, silently. He will fester about it and silently hate. His expression of his emotions is often indirect, through small gestures--and this doesn't apply just to anger and hate, but also happiness, love, and respect. He doesn't like talking openly about emotions--not because he's afraid of being hurt, but he doesn't really trust anyone and he thinks it's better if people don't know his motives. What you keep to yourself can't turn around and bite you on the ass.

He usually tries to stay out of people's business, but in the greater scale of things he puts himself right in the crossfire. He is rather active in politics, and is greatly interested in muggle affairs both social and political. He has his beliefs, and feels very strongly about them.

Although he likes rats and animals in general, Diarmid has a strange fear of small animals, especially kittens. He's uncomfortable around most baby animals. It's not really because he is afraid they'll hurt him, but rather the other way around. The bigger the animal the better, and his rat is just the perfect size. It's large enough that it will sit on his shoulder, but not small enough to make him anxious.

Personal History:
Delphine Loze, a young witch of twenty studying her craft in Paris was a bright and vivacious young woman. She had mostly finished her schooling, but was studying under an independent teacher of potions. Tasting a bit of her own potion one day, she received a burst of adventuresome energy and declared that she was going to go traveling. Highly excited (one might almost say manic even) she flew to Ireland. Once the potion wore off in a few days of partying in different towns, she was devastated to realize what she had done. Up and left her hometown so quickly? Well, she was lolling about dejectedly in a bar in some random city in a foreign country, surrounded by people speaking a language of which she had a rudimentary understanding, when she was approached by a curious young Cormack Duram. Explaining her predicament, the usually stolid eldest of the five Duram boys felt an odd connection from the dark witch. He brought her back to his parents’ house, and she fell in love with the country and its people. She went back to France, returning within a year. The next year found them both well and completely in love. Much to the delight of the Duram family, they wedded in the summer. Coming from a country of intensely magical history, he took it unnaturally well when he found out she was a witch. He always gave a small smile and said that he knew there was something enchanting about her.

Two years later, they were graced with a baby boy, Diarmid. He was an incredibly demanding and energetic boy, and it didn't change even into infancy. His father described him as a little terror, running about and making a mess of almost everything he could get his hands on. Even then, he was curious about the consequences of certain actions and what would happen if he did this or that. He nearly killed himself a number of times, somehow tying himself up in the most unlikely items. He ate a number of gross items, and always kept his parents on their toes.

When he was two, his sister Caerlinn was born. Less than a year after the birth of Caerlinn came another little girl, ----. He can’t say he was happy at first about the big change in their family, but once they got older and could play, he grew to love his little sisters, and adopted the almost stereotypical role of leader and protector during their adventures.

When Diarmid was young, he used to draw everything with green suns because he hates the color yellow. It’s part of what turned him off from eggs, too, and he avoids buying anything that has yellow unless he needs or really wants it, in which case he usually tries to charm the color to change.

His mother often wonders what happened to her outgoing, loud baby. In his early childhood years, Diarmid became more introverted and quiet, seeking solitude and playing by himself. He protests that nothing ever happened to cause the change, but that's not entirely true. Part of it had to do with his personality; he doesn't trust anyone but his family, and didn't even then. He was a bit smarter than average for his age, and even then had a pride that couldn't be trampled by anyone. He was rather aloof until school age when he figured out how to work with people to keep them in good graces while maintaining a personal distance. Although he likes learning, he hates being forced to do anything, and so he didn't like school much. Glad that he's out, he throws himself into his hobbies.

Looks really awesome =] One very small thing that I just wanted to point out. In the top part of the description, above the picture, you have his height and weight different than in the first paragraph of his physical description.

I have to add a group for graduates now =]. I'll make it, but you won't be getting a pip for a bit, I don't have photoshop on my work computer. It's really annoying!!
