Okay, I've owned tons of sites before, but this is my first time attempting to make one using an Invisionfree forum. I already know how to code and use HTM, all I'm asking for a few suggestions regarding the skin and such. The site's name is 'Sanguine, my Brother'; but it might change later on. It will be a canine roleplay, but I might allow a few wolves and coyotes to be created. Its supposed to a have a dark, harsh feel to it. Well, the plot isn't exactly done yet, but here is the general outline of it;

Its always been known that the only thing that would ever be powerful enough to obliterate the human race would be the human race itself. It started off slow, with mass overpopulation and starvation; warfare began to tear the earth apart. Scientists and militaries began to toy and mess with Earth's very functions and systems. Slowly, one by one, one day all the humans began to pack their bags, casting wary and fearful glances at the darkening sky above them. They all marched down into the Vaults; underground communities built to shelter them from the oncoming storm. Not all - in fact, not even half - of the population could fit into them. The ones left behind fled the cities, a few stragglers left behind. The ones that fled were never heard from again, and the ones who stayed... well, to put it bluntly, they fed and fueled the other creatures of the city.

Soon after the humans marched into the Vaults, horrendous storms of mass scales wracked the very earth in their wake. Lightning, thunder, and swiftly forming flash floods wiped out almost all of the remaining humans, leaving the less than one percent that was left weak and debilitated. After three years, it seemed that the wounded Earth felt that she was done cleansing herself, and the storms cleared. Dogs, cats, coyotes, and other creatures crawled out of hiding, mad with fear and savage with hunger. In desperation, they began to prey on each other. All was chaos, and rogue groups of animals began to band together and form packs. Each pack had its own set of laws and morals, though not all of them agreed on what was right and wrong. In Windmere City, war waged in between them, and shifty alliances were broken.

There was one pack who had stayed quiet and neutral, keeping out of the fray. When the other packs were weak and bloodied with war, The Coven began to hire its members out as assassins and guards. The Coven was not an ordinary pack; it cared not for the amount of land it owned, or its reputation. The Coven was more of a cult, with a complex and different social structure. It's base is unknown to anyone who is not a member, and their activities and way of life is even more mysterious. Some even doubt of its existence.

And so, the world is a much darker, savage place. The only law that remains is the ancient law of 'kill or be killed', 'eat or be eaten'. The Coven of Windmere City remains mysterious and dark; and so does their objectives. Some packs believe that The Coven is evil, and should be destroyed. Others think that they provide a valuable service as assassins and guards. Yet others refuse to even believe they exist.



Okay, so now you have a vague idea of what it's about. Well, I have a question.

Does this skin look alright to you, or do you think it needs a more dark blue and black layout, or maybe just black and gray? Personally, I'm not all too sure about the red and black thing...

Also, I need some sort of banner for the top of the site. Anyone willing to help with that, because I'm horrible with Photoshop.

Being perfectly honest i'm not a great fan of the skin, teh red and black together hurt the eyes a little. I personly prefer dark skins, so making this one (on this site) was a bit of a challange because red and black are often too bright.

I'd have a look at grey skins rather than solid black, they tend to complement teh second colour better.

M'kay then, thanks for the feedback. I'll try to find a skin thats a little more grayscale.

And I'm not picky about banners at all, being no matter who makes it it'll probably be better than mine, lol.

And yeah, just tell me what kind of thing you'd like and i'll give it a go, can't promise anything though xD

Hmm, I don't really know. Just something sort of daunting, like perhaps a dark wolf or dog baring its fangs or so - but something like you have on your site would work just as good.

i'll give it a go, though at the beginning of july i'm getting adobe photoshop, which has a lot more tools so i'll be able to make a better one then.

I'm getting pretty close to being done now. I just need to add some more IC boards, get a couple people to form their own packs, and then it'll be ready. I'll keep tweaking with it though, nonetheless.

Any ideas? I changed to setting to New York City, so I need to think of some places there that might be fun to RP in.

And I like the idea about the derailed trains and abandoned shops, I'll add that in there. By the way, how do you want me to give you credit for the banner? I can write down something right under it, if you like.
