Rules
General Rules


1. Be helpful to other members. Don't go "lol noob noob" to someone who doesn't know what they're doing because it's only you whose going to look stupid in the end if you do that. Help them, instead of taunting them.

2. Keep your language clean. Swear words aren't the only way to exaggerate a point, you know. Lugia's Island is place for friendly and intelligent discussion, not a place where baboons gather to start flaming each other..

3. Don't spam. Spam is spam. That rule is self explanatory.

4. Be active. The only reason you joined these forums is to post right? Please, be active and contribute to this forum. Don't just drop dead and never post here again. =D This isn't a rule I can inforce or ban you with.

5. No advertising. Please DO NOT advertise in any part of the forum ACCEPT in your signature or the Advertising sub forum. PM advertising is the worst offense, and an immediate warning will be given. We do not need to know about your forum with 5 members and 20 posts.

6. Don't double post. If you need to add something to your post, please use the "Edit" button. Don't add another reply. All it does is clutter up the forum, make it look unorganized and unmaintained, and is generally annoying.

7. Keep your beliefs and religions to yourself. No one needs to know about them.

8. Speak in English only. Espanol? (lol) Most of you can't even break this rule anyway... XD Making this forum trilingual is probably the worst thing you can do to it. Seriously, that's basically seperating the Island of Lugia into 3 different parts. Lugia will jump out of the computer and literally peck you to death if you do so.

9. Don't revive dead topics. If a topic is dead but you would like the discussion to continue, make a new topic. DO NOT post in the old one.

10. Make your posts readable. Internet slang is ok but just don't overdo it. Posts like "leik omg lolz ur noob lol" are not readable and are therefore NOT allowed. I'm pretty sure you can spare half a second to type in two extra letters to make a word readable..

1st offense - Verbal Warning
2nd offense - Official Warning
3rd offense - Tempban (1 day)
4th offense - Tempban (1 week)
5th offense - Permban (Forever)

Be aware that some of these rules are relaxed in the Spam board.

Signature Rules


1. Your signature should be no bigger than 600x255 pixels which is about this area shown here:


2. Your signature should containt no more than 8 images, 3 of which can be banners and the rest small images like sprites and icons. Why? Slower browsers are, well, slow and the page will take a long time to load if it is loaded with a bunch of images. We have to make the island convenient for everyone. :)

3. Your signature should not contain any offensive attack on another member or otherwise whine about a thread of yours that got locked, or whatever. Bottom line: Don't use your signauture as a shield for breaking the rules. It can and will be edited.

4. Your signature should not contain a superlong video or animation that makes the screen lag. Again, think of the people with slower browsers.

>Consequences<
If I find your signature breaking one of the above rules, I will edit it of all it's content, and dropping a note about it. No, you can not be warned or banned from having improper signatures.

Name Change Rules


In order to get your name changed, PM Silverwing and your name will be changed as soon as possible. To prevent people from abusing the name change, you may only change your name 5 TIMES, so think about your new username before you decide to change it. You must also have been a part of the forums for at least 2 months before you can get your name changed. This rule prevents changes the minute people register. New users have to think about their user name when they register.
