Title: AGM
HUFC Croft Fan - June 23, 2012 05:12 PM (GMT)
As we were promised the AGM would be before the end of 2011 but this did not happen I have asked more than 1 of the Board and had different answers, Anyone able to provide an update.
Kenno.3 - June 23, 2012 05:50 PM (GMT)
Heard a rumour the Inland Revenue are knocking on the door for unpaid tax AND there is no appeal on a third time claim[us] Could this be the reason no AGM has been called PERHAPS the board or chairman can clarify this situation
HUFC Croft Fan - June 23, 2012 06:03 PM (GMT)
Would be surprised if that were the case as if the club is trading and taking money (e.i season tickets) when the directors know this they could be held responsible under insolvency law. But some honest and factual information would not go a miss. If they are then maybe below will help
'You can be held personally liable and be ordered to pay money to the company for the benefit of its creditors under several circumstances. The main ones are listed here.
'Wrongful Trading. This is when you continue to trade or enter into contracts after you, as a director or shadow director, knew or ought to have known that there was no reasonable prospect of avoiding insolvent liquidation, unless you can prove that you took every step to minimise the potential loss to creditors.
If a court believes you have been wrongfully trading, it can order you personally to make a contribution to the company without financial limit. It can also disqualify you from acting as a director for up to 15 years.
Hindsight is a wonderful thing and it is often difficult to say in retrospect whether and when you ought to have known that your company could not have avoided insolvent liquidation. It is therefore vital for you to keep up-to-date financial records of the company’s position and to obtain professional advice as soon as you fear you might be approaching insolvency'.

Silence is golden. Any thoughts DJ?
russ - June 23, 2012 08:25 PM (GMT)
Come on guys do we really expect to hear anything, the masons are more open than our board.
The players obviously know something is going on as they are leaving like like lemmings.
No communication from the board as per normal.

yes. yes I have.
my thoughts and questions about the AGM have been addressed to a director on the board of the club.
HUFC Croft Fan - June 24, 2012 10:59 AM (GMT)
Well DJ I hope you received more imformation than I did. Until I know more as a shareholder I will not be purchasing a season ticket, car park passes. attending home friendlies or helping with clean ups on the ground or putting any money into the club other than on league match days and then only entrance cost. The club is a major thing to me and like many others I have put both time and money into it but not any more unless things start to change.
Kenno.3 - June 24, 2012 01:09 PM (GMT)
I fully shar your feelings HUFCFANCROFT but you and I know nothings going to change whilst we have the present setup i.e. chairman and his yes men. Our feelings count for nothing. Going back to the days of the Athletic we were kept fully informed of the club's dealings so why not NOW
rodderschild - June 24, 2012 01:37 PM (GMT)
We need a statement from the club on this issue and quickly if it's going to stop fans buying ST or putting money into the club, yet again I'm reading negative things about the club and how it's being ran and rumours the players are still owed wages........it's embarrassing!!!!

Will somebody for fucks sake sake tell us the truth
Simon - June 25, 2012 02:25 PM (GMT)
I hate to say it but have to;over the course of the recent troubled times for the club (the last 4 seasons or so) no answers to any question asked about matters concerning the board, club debt etc have been given on here and I would not expect that to change now.
I'm not condoning that but why o why get yourself so wound up by it?
Kenno.3 - June 25, 2012 02:31 PM (GMT)
It looks like we are going to have a team of no hopers led by another no hoper and side kick Heggs Watch your back Heggsie our assistant managers are hired and fired quickly when DT feels abit of pressure aimed at him
Simon - June 25, 2012 02:48 PM (GMT)
If you felt so convinced about your opinion on that matter surely it deserves it's own thread and not placing in a thread on AGM/lack of communication.
Kenno.3 - June 25, 2012 04:32 PM (GMT)
You are quite right Simon I placed it on the wrong thread easily done
chelseaboy2 - June 26, 2012 07:30 AM (GMT)
Not only on the wrong thread, but totally factually incorrect as well.

DJ knew all about F A paragraphs and regulations up to
June 9th
but nothing about what is going on at Hinckley football club B)
russ - June 26, 2012 06:14 PM (GMT)
Well I thought I would take the bull by the horns and actually get in touch with the club today, and rang them up.
A very nice lady answered the phone and did her best in answering my questions. I put to her that the lack of info was creating rumours, she said that the board were meeting soon and a date would be announced.
Also I mentioned that the fact players were leaving at a rapid rate was not giving fans confidence at all. Although she couldnt answer she did say that DT was on holiday and would be back tomorrow.
Not what we wanted to here but a least a bit of communication, although arm twisting was required.

strange reply?
In a thread about when the AGM is to be called, you're more interested in what I may or may not know about the football club?
If it helps, I know as much as all the other shareholders know about the workings of the football club.
ford - June 26, 2012 07:05 PM (GMT)
did not think you did Thank you B)
klasskat - June 27, 2012 12:15 PM (GMT)
We will try and keep you updated as much as we can
HUFC Croft Fan - June 27, 2012 02:08 PM (GMT)
Lets wait and see and hope that all that is being rumoured is not true.

I would have thought the submission of an annual return would be at least some good news..
JEP - October 5, 2012 10:33 AM (GMT)
Well I hope nobody went to the toilet, they would have missed it.
I've been looking at this website and from July last year, there was an official club statement made on the then official club website that the accounts for 2010 would be available for scruitiny as from July 13th. The statement was made on July 2nd. There was no notification of such in the Hinckley Times.
Perhaps the former Directors at the AGM last night have forgotten that particular event. You really do have to laugh....
This year notification of the AGM appeared on the official club website on the 8th of September, 26 days before last night's AGM and earlier than the 21 days required.
ljn - October 5, 2012 09:21 PM (GMT)
Thats very good John BUT please dont forget that not everyone has access to the internet so the only way some shareholders would be aware of a meeting would be via the local rag
JEP - October 6, 2012 09:31 AM (GMT)
Agreed Linda but the notice last year only went on the website.
You could also question whether the club have been failing to provide the accounts for scrutiny prior to the AGM as was requested as an action on the club in the 2004 Report from the FA. When shareholders have questioned this in the past, they've been ignored. I just wish former board members would remember their previous failings before becoming all high and mighty about any POSSIBLE admin errors on Thursday. It's all about consistency....
HUFC Croft Fan - October 6, 2012 12:47 PM (GMT)
Not sure if your correct or not as far as the notice in the press was concerned. I do know that notice was sent to all shareholders last known addess more than 21 days before the last AGM as one of the current directors stated this should be done but now seems to have changed there view as this did not happen this year.
ljn - October 6, 2012 06:58 PM (GMT)
All I was interested in was the posting in the paper for non computer literate folk
JEP - October 6, 2012 07:50 PM (GMT)
Yes well that probably makes sense.
Rob Mayne seemed to know where to send the threatening letters, the banning letters, but not the notice of the AGM. Seems par for the course...
Message for Mayne, and an answer to your question as to 'What the hell is he doing here' on Thursday? I'll be here for the foreseeable future. Hopefully you won't.... B)
Kenno.3 - October 7, 2012 08:41 AM (GMT)
What you have to remember is Rob Mayne is still a shareholder so is entitled to attend plus the fact he did try to get the AGM started against the wishes of the board by proposing a motion to elect a chairman from the floor
