Fuse vs GrimKai, Finally, something to do!

OOC: Regarding the new event, wouldn't you think it be better if we had teams up against another team?

After Grimkai posted a challenge on the BBS bullitens, he got a reply saying that the pc, Fuse, accepted his challenge. He smirked, and finally had something to ease his boredom. He accepted, and set up a date for when they should fight, meaning tommorow. He wandered around, looking at the city, and it's PC's. Then he warped to Warring Lumina City, where he warped into the waiting room at the arena.
"Well, at least there's something to do now." He muttured to himself.

[Fuse]

((OOC: Well, yeah, I guess. I feel a bit more comfortable in teams, considering I am low-leveled =.= ))

Wearing a determined face, Fuse warped into the Warring City, Lumina Cloth, in a flash of glowing blue rings. This was her first time setting foot on the city. She gazed around for a while, drinking in the amazing modern city scenery and towering buildings. She wonders what material could have supported the structure from its very foundations. She stood on a bridge, connecting a dark skyscraper to another smaller and wider building, with shops and the chaos gate in the middle. On the far side of the bridge, the smaller building held two warp gates and counter at the very face. A holographic billboard stood directly above it.

Fuse strode over to the counter and registered. As she warped into a very small waiting room, anxiety started bubbling right at the pit of Zara's stomach. But she fought it off with the coffee she held. After a few minutes preparing and reviewing her strategy, Fuse chose "Ready" on the menu that appeared. Suddenly her view changed from the once peaceful waiting room, to a large bronze circular platform, with seats on one side, harboring millions of other players, seeking entertainment. The platform was roughly half the size of a small football field, but seemed smaller standing on it.

The announcer's voice boomed across the arena, presenting the two players who are to fight for victory. Fuse and GrimKai. Fuse tensed. She kept her arms in, bent her knees and strained her ears for any sound of approach from beyond the blinding light around the platform. Drawing her sword, she prepared for the fight.

After GrimKai clicked the 'Ready' button, he warped into the bronze stadium, full of excitement, while the announcer introduced the 2 players. The player he was facing was a girl, around his age or a bit older, with short black hair, and was and adept rouge as well, but was using the blade brandier class first.
"Well well. This might actually be a bit interesting, now don't you think?"
He, being a Adept Rouge with the Twin Blade class, had the advantage of speed and fast attacks, but with lower damage. She had range and power, but wasn't as fast. So as the warped onto the arena, he got ready to fight, his Spin Gai Gu ready.
"So, you been here before?" He asked.

[Fuse]

In a burst of light, Fuse's opponent appeared on the far side of the platform. Wearing a vest over a red shirt, the boy was of average height. He held a pair of short swords firmly in his hands. It appears that he, GrimKai, was a Twin Blade. With his natural speed, Fuse would have to be quicker on her toes.

"Well, well. This might actually be a bit interesting, now don't you think?" GrimKai said. Though Fuse didn't really hear half of it. Sword held tight, Fuse edged closer to him, "So, you been here before?" he asked again. Fuse's head was calculating her strategy, but she managed to answer, "No, but I expect to last," and with that, she threw herself to GrimKai, attempting to slash at his waist.

"Ah, well then, lets give these people a good show then, huh?"
He folowed suit, and dashed forward as well, blades ready. As he was doing so, he coldn't help but let out a cheerful laugh, as he was expecting this to be good.
Then he lunged and went to cut his opponent.

[Fuse]

Parrying GrimKai's attack, Fuse continued her combo. GrimKai lunged at her, but Fuse dodged just in time. They traded blows for a while, neither gaining any damage. I hope this ends a little faster, thought Fuse, Because I really need to get that laundry over and done with. With a shout, she released a sudden outburst of attacks, slashing here and lunging there, flipping to dodge any incoming attacks.

Not giving any notice whether or not her opponent received any damage at all, Fuse was getting tired ever so slightly. She took a single swipe at GrimKai's feet, hoping to gain an advantage. After the swipe, she jumped backwards, in case he countered.

As they exchanged blows, he noticed that his opponent seemed in a bit of a hurry, due to her flurry of slashes and lunges, as was he, because he was going to meet some freinds in half a hour. As she aimed for hi feet, he jumped back, giving them some room to breath. He looked at his opponents attacks, and then started to think about how to finish this over faster. He knew that blade brandiers were a well balanced character, being standard speed, attack, and defence. But his character had the advantage in speed, but a handicap in strength and defence.
"Hmm. Now how should i do this?"
He looked, thought, and got an idea. He then ran towards her, but at the last second, he changed course, and curved around, and slashed at her side, and then ran around her, and circled her.

[Fuse]

Jumping back after she swiped at GrimKai's feet, Fuse's blade barely missed him as he jumped back, too. She ran backwards for a while, making a little distance between the two fighters. GrimKai suddenly sprinted towards her. Fuse prepared for a block, but he veered sharply to her side, shifting his course, and slashed at her waist. Caught off guard, Fuse gained a little damage. GrimKai didn't stop. He continued to circle her.

"Playing tag, eh?" Fuse muttered. She breathed deeply and stuck her sword into circle of wind around her, yelling, "Sword Flash!" and lunged straight into it. She focused a lot of her energy into that one lunge, hoping it would cease GrimKai's dash.

As he was circling her, her recognized the familiar flash of a skill, and he stopped and blocked, instead of going runing around still, which would most likely do more harm than good. The reason being that if he didn't stop, and the attack landed, he would take quite a bit of damage, and possibly be in a position in which she could finish him off. So he stood his gard, and had his parry stance set.

[Fuse]

As she shouted the skill words, Fuse prepared to attack GrimKai. Lunging at the blurred strip in front of her, Fuse focused her strength into the tip of her blade. Unfortunately, just as the attack almost landed, GrimKai rushed to a stop and managed to block her attack.

Pulling back her arm, she prepared for another attack. She tackled GrimKai fiercely, attempting to tire his guarding position. After a short combo, Fuse front-flipped, landing behind GrimKai. She swiftly slashed across his back, hoping her opponent wouldn't turn and block in time.

As she tackled him, he lost a bit of his momentum, skidding back a bit. The his opponent ran up, and did a small combo on him, causing some damage to him. As he was regaining balance, he noticed she jumped out of sight. After quick thinking, only 2 outcomes appeared: She either jumped behind him, or jumped of toward the far side. He only had one chance, or the attack could do quite a number on him. He then rolled forward, hoping that the opponents attack would slash at air instead of the PC.

[Fuse]

GrimKai rolled forward, causing Fuse to lightly stumble after missing her attack. Realizing this, she quickly dashed towards GrimKai, in an attempt to continue her combo. Leaving no opening for her opponent to counter, Fuse's arms flashed wildly around GrimKai. She was getting a little tired, but kept going on.

As fuse kept going on the assault, he could only block for now, as he thought of a stradegy to get her out and done for. He noticed she was wildly slashing so that meant she was either in a hurry or just tired. So as she was attacking, he slid under her right arm as she attacked, and slashed for her waist.

Fuse abruptly stopped as GrimKai slashed at her waist and stumbled a little as she lost a little health. She quickly retaliated with an uppercut. Right after that, she swerved to the left and stabbed at GrimKai's side. She then continued with her combo, but lessening the speed by a small pinch.

OOC: Really long delay

As Fuse uppercut him, and pierced his sides, he planned to retaliate with a combo and his artes to keep up with her. As she continued her barrage, he parried some to reduce the health depletion, and then countered with a Sparrow Counter, a move that uppercut her into the air, and then slamed her into the ground right after.
