I always wondered, on episode 22 of the first season of Gundam 00, when Exia receives the Trans-Am system. What would have been the out-come if Nena were to go with Setsuna and co-join with celestal being, instead of running away and later joining up with Wang Liu Mei in the second season. I mean the Assault container did have Atmospheric entry, and Im pretty sure Celestal being had a way to repair or make the Throne better.
If not, What about the Trinity's Ship?? Nothing was even done about it, and kinda forgot about it truthfully. I think they should make two story lines, For that would be Interesting!!!

I don't think Celestial Being would have taken in Nena, though if they had they probably would have sent her away to Krung Thep to be repaired.

As for the Trinity's Mothership...just watch Season 2 ^_~

I wouldn't be so sure about that, SA; after all, wasn't at least part of the point behind Setsuna and Lasse going Earthside that ep to drag the Trinities back as reinforcements(as minimal as that would have been, the Ptolemaios crew needed all the help they could get their hands on that point)? It might, however, be safe to presume that had she followed Setsuna and linked up with the Ptolemy team near the end of S1, Nena would have gotten a rather scathing (and well-deserved) "What the hell, anti-hero?" lecture from them, followed by a considerable probation period(if she were to survive Fallen Angels in this case).

As to an upgrade for Nena between S1 and S2 in that scenario, that would probably depend on just how much Old Man Aeolia released to the Ptolemy faction with the Trans-Am; was it just that and the data for the TDS, or he send them *everything* on the GN Drives, including the how-to on building them?

Perhaps it may be part of it because they were kinda desperate but if it was the case then it would have been a minor one because the scene in the episode suggested that they were doing it mainly out of symbolism of the organization; in other words to "intervene" in this conflict between the UN and the Trinities(not unlike what they did in the desert, where they stopped the terrorists from getting to the the nuclear facility despite it being a big gamble on their part). The Trinities also have very little resources at this point so I guess the only thing valuable to them might be their Gundams.

The other reason why I think it wasn't much of an issue to them was because they kinda let Nena go just like that. She wasn't that far from Exia/GN Arms after the battle ended and if they really wanted her to join them then they probably would have communicated or went after her immediately. She wasn't even moving very fast so they likely could have caught up with her after catching their breaths if it was a decent priority.

If they eventually did rescue her afterall, personally I think they may not be too keen on letting her near a Gundam, even if they enter a situation where they were short on pilots (which happened at the start of S2). Then again, I would be surprised if they won't use her for anything if she did join them despite disagreeing on principle and not liking her actions. She's likely a decent agent.

===================

As for GN Drive data, I'm under the impression that the system trap did not release all data on the GN Drives. The reason why I say this was because Tieria ended his message to Celestial Being in his Monologue (released with the final S2 DVD) by saying that he will leave Celestial Being with a farewell gift, which is all the GN Drive data that was inside Veda. The fact that Tieria had to do this suggested that there was some data that Celestial Being or at least the Ptolemaios faction did not possess yet.

My guess is that the data they did not have are the construction methods of the GN Drives. Afterall, losing some seems to be a big deal prior to the end of S2 (which they lost three in total) but post S2 even a resource stricken Celestial Being managed to build a pair relative quickly.

Well, that punches a bullet hole clear through the plot-coupon I had in mind for one of my own fic ideas. In this case, the coupon required Ian to have gotten the data referenced above from Veda in the wake of the Plutone Incident and used it (and a multi-year long trek to Jupiter) to build several sets of spare parts for the original GN Drives, including TD Blankets; it was actually much easier by far to come up with an explanation for their prior non-usage (as I was going to have Ian explain to Saji when the latter noticed this, 1) "once a true solar furnace is activated, it can't be completely disassembled without wrecking it" and 2) "we were out to change the world, not to conquer it") than it was to justify Ian being able to build them at *all* if he couldn't have gotten the needed information to do so in the first place prior to that point in time. blink.gif

On the other hand, it has given me an idea or two for fixing a few issues I had with my older 00 story(which left me unable to go through with actually writing the darn thing until very recently), in part by taking advantage of the Corner faction's own Jupiter trip that netted them the riches it did.
