  • Hi-Nu colors.
  • Can't see the swiveling GN Drive pods of the old 00 Gundam and there's the chest GN condenser back--so whether this means it only has one GN drive, or if the second is mounted on that left-hand thingo, I dunno.
  • Seems to have design elements from the I Gundam/Ribbons Gundam in bits and pieces all over, especially the head.
  • So, are those Fin Fangs?
Out of the designs, this is probably the one I like best, but again--until I see more this is not by any means guaranteed.

I kind of get a 00 Gundam 7S feel from the knee design on this. I can see some Exia coming back through the shoulders and skirt armor and obvious Chest Orb. The shield with bits is kidna neat, but I rathered Setsuna didn't get into Fangs. With the exception of Lockon's Shield Bits on the Cherudim, Fangs seemed to be reserved for enemies in 00. Giving them to the hero machine seems... detremental to it's appeal.

I'd think part of the reason behind the Sword Fangs is so that Setsuna can recall them if he tossed them (because he was using them as regular blades). After how many blades he's tossed over S1 and a bit of S2, it seems logical.

And it would also allow him to Omnislash a specific target (not to mention literally "cutting open" a path through a group of enemies).

Extended montage of Qan[T]'s scene:

Kind of an odd visual effect when the beam (Whatever it is) hits the shield, but its hard to tell if its actually anything significant.

I kinda like how when the beam hits the sheild, it's almost as if it triggers the Bits to go. Kind of a "yeah I got him! His shield is going to pieces! But... wait... the pieces... they're... AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH They're coming for me!! SAVE ME!!!!!!"

It'd be nice if they were roughly as effective as all the other remote weapons in 00 (i.e., shot down en masse), but I'm not holding my breath.

Closer look at the wacky handle on Qan[T]'s Keyblade:

Hard to see, but possible 00-style backpack "arm" mount for the shield?

Interesting. And it would sort of make sense to keep using the 00's GN Drive mount for something. Hell, it would also go to explaining why it's a 00 Gundam and not just an Exia upgrade. And as per discussion, the likely location of a second GN drive if it exists.

The new GN Sword's handle hints at a Seven Swords 00 lineage more and more--doesn't the GN Buster Sword II of the Seven Sword 00 have that setup?

Not exactly, though something of a rough resemblance could be argued I guess.

Such a style of holding a sword handle is more akin to the combined GN Buster Sword III's from the 00 XN Raiser actually laugh.gif

This might be interesting in relation to the 00 Qan[T]'s name:

'Qan' is an alternate spelling of 'Khan' - a title and name used throughout South and Central Asia, including the islamic regions of Iran, Turkey and Afghanistan.
"Qan/Kahn" (sovereign or military leader) can also be read as "Qayan/Khagan," essentially meaning "emperor" or "king of kings" when used as such.
For example, "Genghis Khan" (the name of the great Mongol emperor) can be spelled as "Chinggis Qan."

In this regard Qan[T] would be a fitting pun for a 'Gundam that surpasses Gundams', in addition to signifying the quantization ability (and perhaps using a GN[T] Drive as well).

Ok.

0 Gundam = Ou/King Gundam
00 Gundam = Double King Gundam
00 Qan[T] = Triple King Gundam?

Maybe "Quadruple King" is more accurate, but yes it does work nicely with the earlier planned chess theme. laugh.gif

I'm already half-jokingly wondering if the upgraded version is going to be called "00 Qaisar" or a puntastic variation thereof... rolleyes.gif tongue.gif

"Qaisar" arabic for Ceasar (as in Julius Ceasar) - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Qaisar
"Kaiser" is German for "Emperor" - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kaiser
A "Quasar" is a kind of galaxy with an active galactic nucleus - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quasar
